Sir i am suffering from knee sweeling in my rt knee for 6 month,two times i hv removed water(aspiration) from it bt never found relief.some time it decrease and some time increase.all tests x rays,crp,esr are normal not yet i found any relief.4 years ago same problem were in my lft knee and dr. Removed 2 pieces(tissue) from lft knee which were found normal(non specific),till one month after surgery i couldn't bent knee even a little bit,i took physiotherapy by wax and till 9 months i could bent it onle 80% after 1.5 or 2 year i could bent it properly 100 bt with pain,still there is pain when i bent it proper,and also swelling in rt knee.Dr.'s Of hospital in which i get surgery 4 yrs ago said that same surgery will pass in rt knee,bt i am afraid because still there is pain in my lft knee,if i pass again surgery in rt knee i will face same problem of pain in my rt knee,please advice me sir if there another way to get treated without surgery like med. Or i should get treated by surgery,i am just 23 yr old boy,still there is whole life for me to live please help me.

Hi, Antral gastritis common causes is Bacterial ( h pylori ). Then there are more infective cause which are a little less common (viral,tuberculosis) . Smoking,alcoholic,excessive drug intake might be other causes as well,or due to any foreign body intake. My father had black stools (upon test it had occult blood), they did endoscopy and found an ulcer in lesser curvature. they did sclerotherapy. after couple of days the stools were normal in color. he got discharged. biopsy showed H.pylori and he was given h.pylori kit, orafer xt and cobadex since he had become anemic. after 2 days he fell unconscious, pissed in pants and later passed stools brown again. hospitalized him again. occult blood was present in stools from tests. they did endoscopy and found no bleeding from ulcer where sclerotherpy was done. everything normal in the stomoch and in both duodenum. he is still passing brown stools. donot know why ? please give your opinion.

Hi, Brown coloured usually may be even normal because of a little high billirubin content in stools. But there is also occult blood in stools so the blood must be coming from some place(intestines,stomach,duodenum) and it has been seen by a endoscopy that your oesophagus and stomach and duodenum are normal,now there can be blood from other sites, from lower gastro intestinal tract (colon,rectum). However if the occult blood is less or if it does not come again then you might not worry about it ...

GERD. It has been on and off since 2008. The condition worsened last month in Jan 2013 and I could hardly swallow any solid food. It just gets stuck in the throat and feel like I am choking till I push the food down with water. Liquids and semi solid foods are ok. The doctors did Nasal Endoscopy, Normal Gastro Endoscopy, Esopheagal Manometry, Barium Swallow X-Ray and all tests came up normal. I was told the swallowing problem is primarily related to GERD and I was advised Cintapro 1 mg tablet for 1 month. So far as I take the tablet, I am able to take in selected solid foods fine, but not all foods. If I do not take this tablet for one day, the problem recurrs back. Question 1: How long will this motility disorder be related to GERD ? Question 2: Are there any side effects of taking this Cintapro 1 mg to help in motility on a long term basis (Say if I need to take this for some more time) Questionj 3: Are there any other tests that will show the proper reason for this motility disorder of the esophaegus (Apart from Esopheagal Manometry, Gastro Endoscopy, Barium Swallow X-Ray) etc.

GERD will persist but the effect can be decreased by life style modification like good brisk walk for 40 mins, avoiding fat, consuming more curd and buttermilk rather than milk and keeping a gap of 2 hrs between food and sleep. No much symptoms of frequent urination or pain during passing Urine. On a routine check up, found prostate gland enlargement. On a scan found that prostate - 4.3 x 6 x 5.7 cm (63gms). PVR 48cc and Uroflowmetry (voided volume 0433ml). PCA test shown normal result (2.18 ng/mL). Doctor advised for Afdura 1 tab during night. Had it for one month and went for 2nd test and the result shown as Prostate 62gms (voided volume 0310 ml) and PVR 37 cc. Doctor advised to continue Afdura for another 2 months. Feeling normal except some trumbling feeling (mussle shrinking all over the Body - occassionally during sleep. ( No normal allergic sympts like drowziness of Afdura) Other wise comfortable with normal urination and no pain or any uneasiness during urination. Hi, Although i don't think there should be some problem in carrying with afdura,or going ahead with surgery. The drug might be stopped just before surgery,rest it depends upon your examination. Hi, Yes you can do fast running or play basket ball,if you are regularly doing it don't try over exertion on your self. You can have have mangoes but they are high in sugar and if you have mangoes then yo will have to cut on any other thing and it's jsut that you have to maintain good sugar in normal range,so how so ever you do it by maintaing a diet schedule and excercise schedule. Hi, I am not sure,your doctor must have examined you so he can might be telling better,but i belive you should have complet liver tests including pt aptt and coagulation profile and billirubin levels and also repeat the tests you already have. Although yellow eyes can also be due to mddy sclera,some people have muddy sclera. I am post menopausal (for 4 years). 2 weeks ago, after ONLY urinating, and only wiping the front, there has been a ~2-inch gob of brown goo on the toilet paper. My doctor sent me to the ER in the event is was stool - I had a rectocele repair 2 years ago. It was not stool. ER referred me to an OB-GYN who examined me and did a biopsy and said everything looked normal. Then it happened again last night. It smells bad, so I had presumed it was stool, but obviously it is not. I am also having cramps (for the past 3-4 months) which I've mentioned to my primary care doctor. Is this anything to be concerned about or just normal post-menopause junk coming out? Thank you.
