PAST HISTORY : GERD Issue since 2008. It was recurring on and off like about 2 to 3 times a year.
The acidity worsened in Jan 2013 and for a week I could not swallow any solid food at all

I also have a problem of extreme dry throat most of the day. That is also not helping me in the swallow process. I spoke with an ENT specialist and he has put me on some Vitamin C supplements to help in Saliva Generation. I drink about 1.5 to 2 litres of water everyday and every time I feel it is so very dry and just dont know where the water goes eventually. Is there a reason for this throat dryness and how can the same be taken care of ? Is this Esopheagal Motility Disorder an irreversible process ? How long can it normally take for severe acidity cases with this to get back to a normal life style. My diet is extremely limited now and lifestyle has changed a lot. The feeling itself is very scary and I am concerned about leading a normal lifestyle.

GERD will persist but the effect can be decreased by life style modification like good brisk walk for 40 mins, avoiding fat, consuming more curd and buttermilk rather than milk and keeping a gap of 2 hrs between food and sleep.
Cintpro is by and large relatively safe drug for long term use till now.
