My 3 year old son has been breaking out into very itchy bumps for the last one week. These bumps come and go without leaving any mark. I have seen them on his face, arms, legs and stomach. There has been no change in his diet and he is otherwise well. What could this be? I am very worried.

I understand your concern since your son must be in considerable discomfort. However what he has is known as Acute Urticaria, also called hives. This is a skin reaction pattern caused due to histamine release in the skin and can be caused due to a number of underlying reasons. I have an itchy scalp, dandruff and experience pain in my hair roots. After meeting a skin doctor I have been using an overnight lotion twice a week, shampoo and multivitamin tablets prescribed by her since last ten days. Right now I have developed some swellings in the back of my head on the right side behind my ear on the hairline. It is extremely itchy around that area since last three days. This seems to be a recurring symptom and it appeared during summer season in the last two years also. Sometimes I get headaches that takes place on the right side of my face and head, and last for 24 hrs. I was diagnosed with cervical spondylosis two years ago. had thyroid in childhood......while dieting consultant put me on two tablets for weight loss,,,,,Ebexid and Carnisure 500......after the diet plan i have stopped taking both the tablets......by periods have been delayed for 16 days now....can these two tablets be the reason for the same???

Hi, The first thing we want to rule out is whether or not you are pregnant,although there are many causes to missing periods but since you have history of thyroid and you have ruled that you can't be pregnant so i would recomend you to get a throid test. Our baby is 7weeks old.One day we sow on our baby buttom these blue marks,we call to the hospital straightaway,they ask us to bring her to the hospital.These bruises a really large on both buttocks,we never harm our baby.After few hours me and my husband were arrested for child cruelty,now its been 4weeks and our baby is in foster care while they do investigation.Its heart breaking,we have no idea how these bruises emerged in the first place,could it be these birth marks that everyone is talking about?but she is white skin,we both from eastern europe.Police took her infant baby bath,cous we told them it my be cous of the bath.Any advise or anything that could help us please?we try to get help for her and look whats happend,i never imagen in a million years they can do this.thanks

Hello, I'm really sorry to hear about what happened. Well babies often have spots known as Mongolian Spots on the lower back and buttocks. These spots are usually present at birth but can develop even afterwards in the first week of life. These spots are harmless and disappear over a few months to years and no treatment is required.
