Hello, My partner had completed her normal menstrual cycle last week on Feb 1,2017. And on 3rd Feb we participated in sex. I was wearing a condom but I discharged the sperm while penis was inside of her vagina, "but i was wearing a condom". On the basis of doubts she took an Ipill just after 4 hours of having sex. Today(on 9th Feb) she experienced some vaginal bleeding. It wasn't heavy and painless. She is worried about this breakthrough bleeding. For how many days will this bleeding last? Does this bleeding means that she is having period? If not, then from when she can expect her normal menstrual cycle? Will her menstrual cycle be delayed? Are there any chances that she is pregnant?

PAST HISTORY : There is no medical history as such relating to any sort of gynaecology problems.

Hello there. From the history, it is very unlikely that she is pregnant. Usually, the beakthrough bleeding will last the way her menstrual cycle last. Most likely, her cycle has already changed. You can consider this bleeding as her menstrual cycle.

Dear Sir/Madam, I have had intercourse with my boyfriend 5 months back and had abortion pills by consulting a Doctor online. Hi! The only blood test that can show whether you are pregnant or the previous abortion was an incomplete one is a serum beta hcg -this checks the hormone for pregnancy in the blood.If less than 5 ,then pregnancy is negative. A normal gynae check up can reveal past pregnancy only if earlier pregnancy led to an incomplete abortion which can be made out by an ultrasonogram of the pelvis or the serum beta hcg.Otherwise no doctor can make out whether you were pregnant in the past and have taken abor ...

Hi, I am really stressed and don't want to self diagnos and go crazy, but I have had this (pimple, ulcer, follicule infection or chancre on the side of the shaft of my penis. The story is it appear maybe a week after a day and a half masterbation marathon I am embarrassed to say I had. Hello Doc, My periods delayed by 7 days, so i took a pregnancy test using the kit available in the market. It showed C and T lines to be pink confirming pregnancy. But as I was not in a shape to have a baby, I took two pills of regulin forte to abort it. After three days, I had heavy vaginal discharge for half an hour and then it stopped completely.Now after 7 days I undertook the same test again, this time C was dark pink and T was pale pink.. what should I do now. kindly advice.

Hi!! The pregnancy test can remain positive for uptil 2 weeks after an abortion. To rule out if pregnancy is completely aborted or not,so please get a serum beta hcg test done.This is a blood test that that checks the same hormone of pregnancy in the blood that the urine test checks.
