Hello,
cefixime is an antibiotic. it can be given to a baby with jaundice, how-ever it is not the definitive treatment for jaundice. Jaundice needs to be confirmed by investigations and reason of jaundice needs to be found out.
Hence, for complete evaluation of jaundice, a pediatrician should be consulted.
further treatment is based upon the type of jaundice, as confirmed by clinical examination by a pediatrician.

Oral antibiotics are no treatment for jaundice in newborn. You need to see a specialist.
