Hi, i'm 26 weeks pregnant and i was bitten of a strail cat yesterday. I was adviced with my ob to have anti rabies injection and she gaved me an antibiotic which is cafalexin(cefalin 500mg) and will take that 3x a day. . I would ask help and advice if it safe to take the antibiotic and if it safe to have the anti rabies coz i am scared and afraid about the affect on my baby's brain and body...please response....

Hi. Please do follow your doctorâ€™s advice. First of all, Cefalexin is safe for pregnancy. Secondly and more importantly, it is very important that you do get your anti-rabies shots. Because if the cat bit you is infected with rabies, and you got infeced as well thru the bite, and you did noret the rabies vaccine, there will be no treatment once symptoms appear. Death will 100% surely follow.

Hello, I have had a nail fungus for a good ten years or so. When I first noticed it, I went to my doctor and he game me lamasil which I stopped taking after a few days since it had negative affects on me. Thereafter, I stopped taking care of it and just let it go for a good 7 or 8 years. I eventually grew up and started getting very self conscious of how it looked and wanted to wear sandals and flip flops and not have people think nasty things about me. A few years ago I went to my doctor again and he gave me a topical oil which I used for over a year and did not see any results. About two years ago, I noticed that a vertical brown line was starting to grow from the bottom up. I went to a dermatologist who took a sample of my nail but did not take a sample of the nail bed or from the cuticle. Biopsy came back as of course it being a fungus. He in turn gave me pills to take which I also had to stop taking since it was having a bad affect on my liver. After that, my dermatologist said that he would give me laser treatments which I did two of. They did not clear it but it looks a little bit better then what it was before. Still thick, yellow, crumbling below the nail, nail bed where new nail is growing is darker then the others and the brown line is still there. It is a thick brown line. How did I get this brown line? Did I get it because of the prolonged damage of the nail bed due to the years of having the nail fungus?

You're most welcome. Nail Melanoma does not affect multiple nails together while Longitudunal Melanonychia (LM) often does. The fact that an additional nail is showing changes is nearly conclusive that this is LM, which as I said is harmless. However it would be best to see your doctor to get this confirmed since I cannot see the affected area. Hi, The injections vaxirab you have taken is not a ARS .It is a vaccine and these are two different thing. Usually ARS is given at the site of dog bite where the dog has bitten you. if you have had bleeding from the place where dog has bitten you then yo may go for ARS (it is a serum,not vaccine) available at many government hospitals in India. followed with 102 degree temperature.we went to hospital and he prescribed be antibiotic for 3 days.After that also the body temperature showd between 100 and 101.The did alla the checkups and all are negative.They already started for pantiac 40 mg and formic 1.5 injections for 2 days.after that i was discharged and changed the antibiotic to ciplox 500 mg for 5 days.I never knew that a dental abcess without any pain may cause fever.But yesterday when i wnt through tha net,i found that it is followed by fever.I'm very much feared to go to a dentist..Please help me sir.

Now I am 10 weeks pregnant and my doctor is saying that USG is showing that the foetus is 9 weeks old and no such limbs are seen in the foetus. Doctor advised to take Injection CORION 5000IU weekly and ARGIPREG Sachet -1 sachet daily with other regular Tablets like ASA 50(1 daily), SYSFOL PLUS (2tab daily) and DUBAGEST-200(1 daily). Doctor is suspecting the foetus is of poor growth and poor liquor. Doctor said to take Injection for 3 weeks and if any improvements are not found then, I have to discontinue my pregnancy, but I am not in a mood to take such decision. i am a 24 yr old girl , i had a medical abortion at 6 march 2013 last month. i had all my blood test done prior and it was normal. i had also undergone a pelvic usg and i was 5 weeks pregnant. after 2 weeks from abortion i had a pelvic usg done and doctor reassured it was done and my uterus was empty.i strted bleeding on 21st march 2013 and doctor said she's not sure but could be my periods (bleeding started 1 day after i was assured uterus empty). yesterday 03 april 2013 about after 30 days , i am having right side lower abdominal pain travelling downwards and diarhea all day and discharge from vagina. the discharge is not smelly but its continusly coming like a string . i am worried as i do not know what is happening . why am i having diarrhea pain and discharge. is it jus a virus or do i have some infection ?
