Dear Mrs xyz Firstly you need to tell me whether you have conceived on your own or after taking medications( asissted conception) Secondly, you need to tell me how much weight you have gained in the last 2 month. Your obstetrician has rightly advised you against gaining too much of weight in this pregnancy. It is not advised that you lose weight in this pregnancy or follow any such diet which leads to weight loss. Obesity leads to chances of early miscarriage, preterm labour, baby growing too big o ...

Recently my father complained of mild chest pain..Doctors did an angiogram and found out that he has Triple Vessel desease. They have suggested PTCA to LAD & RCA. We want to take a second opinion on this before going ahead.

Hi, I have seen the angiography report written by you. As many of the findings on angiography are subjective and can be decided by the interventional cardiologist while doing and watching the action of heart and flow of dye during the procedure itself ,it would be a good idea that you should discuss the result with the cardiologist himself. As such blockages of less than 70% of artery does not need to be interference, they are better left to be managed medically.Life style changes and correctio ...

I am experiencing lower lip twitching and I believe it is related to recent dental work. I was given several injections to numb a back molar prepping for a crown. I have had injections in that area once a week for several weeks. The last time, 5 days ago, the dentist had to give a second and third injection to thoroughly numb the area. Is this possible? Should I be concerned?

Don't worry ,mostly this is reversible and does take care of itself within a couple of months . It is due to accidental nerve injury during the injecting of the local anesthesia ,though not common but can occur with even a single injection and not necessarily due to multiple injections . Just bad luck that it happened ,but take solace in the thought that it is reversible and you should be fine in some time . Neural vitamins like the ones suggested above will help regenerate / heal the nerve fast ...

Hi, The two reports are very different and unsatisfactory and i can only say that get your test again from any good reputed lab again. The report common is normal motility, some infection because both reports have pus cells,so except for these two things rest no other thing is common so you will have to get a third test and may if it matches any one report of the above then we can do a confirmatory test if required. ...

I underwent laminectomy for d12- l1 region because of a fall from second floor and its been 2 and half years now. I cannot stay in stting or standing position for more than 15 to 20 minutes at a strech. Now recently I`m getting pain as while I try to bend and rise. Please let me if any thing went wrong in the operated part. I have two rods and four screws inserted.

Hi, If the pain has been there continuously just after the procedure then you should have visited the hospital you got your treatment, that's fine you did not want to spend money but still at least you should have known what is the problem behind this. Indian government provides free medical care to all and review any government hospital and at least they will know what is the problem behind your pain and their are institutes which have tests like mri at very less price or at discounted prices ...

I have been on following medications since diagnosis of UC and IBS last year: From May 2012-Jun 2013 1.) Mesacol (200) (2 times a day) 2.) Folic Acid Supplement (1 time) By taking this I was seeing less mucous and blood in my stool but lately their frequency was increasing. Hence I was prescribed: 1.) Rifagut (200) (3 times a day) for one month Its been a week since I have been taking it but still I am seeing a little blood and mucous in stool. Hence wanted to get a second opinion on my condition.

UC is an autoimmune disease where our own body attacks against our own organs. This disease can be kept silent with medicines but cannot be cured (just like diabetes and blood pressure illnesses can be kept under control but never cured) As per your complaints, it seems that you have a recurrence of the disease. you will need a repeat colonoscopy to know the severity, site and extent of the disease affecting your large intestine. According to that then the dose and schedule of medicines can be ...
