hi i had an intercourse and missed to use a contraceptive. am scared of being pregnant since it is close to ovulation. I went to the pharmist asking for ipill but he gave me mifeprin. Wil this help to avoid my pregnancy

You can take ipill ,but the effectiveness will be lower(after 24 hrs).Also,mifeprin will not have any effects on preventing pregnancy or any effects on you. ...

Hi, I stared the HCG diet 10 days ago using the drops. I also am trying to have a baby so I had sex three times during the week of ovulation. Last period was on January 8. I have had pregnancy symptoms, five positive pregnancy tests, no period. I did have some spotting but it was brown which makes me think that I am pregnant. I am not sure if it is the HCG drops causing a false positive test. Last night I put some of the drops on a pregnancy test and it was a faint positive. My dr. recommended a blood test and then another 48 hours later. I have poor insurance coverage as I am a business owner, and I don't want to spend the money on the blood tests this early. I usually have a 28-31 day cycle. I am thinking of just waiting a couple of weeks, I live a healthy lifestyle. Advice, sorry to ramble on. Jaclyn

Hi Jaclyn!! your issues as to whether the test for pregnancy is actually positive or not are actually confirmed by the serum beta hcg which if doubles in 48 hours means a viable and growing pregnancy. please get the blood tests for the pregnancy done as told. Also ,i hope you had rhogam after in your 1st pregnancy and after the miscarriage. I recently had a period that started very light and evened out to a normal flow by the end but i experienced no usually period cramps, headaches, pain and what not. Then 2 days after my period ended i started experiencing a light pinkish discharge. Its normal in consistency compared to my usually ovulation discharge but the color is something I've never seen before. I am sexually active. Is this normal? or should be alarmed?

7th year of marriage now...had 2 medical abortions in the first 2yrs due to unwanted pregnancies..never used any contraceptive tools or medicines but just used to avoid intercourse in fertile window..my age 32, Ht 5.2, Wt 64kg..my husband age 33, Ht 5.7, Wt 76kg..now ttc from 6months and felt preg symptoms and miscarriage symtoms in the first month...feeling preg symtoms every alternate month from ttc..both dont have bad habits...recent blood and semen reports of both are normal... In my opinion, it is better to use Ova Shield now since you are already on your 7th year of marriage. There is no reason to wait a few more months. Ovulation test kit would aid/help you in getting pregnant. However, it is not recommended just to wait for a (+) ovulation test to have intercourse.
