Hello doctor,
We are planning to conceive but I'm diagnosed with poor ovarian reserve by one of the doctor.
I'm on CCQ 50mg ( day 3 for 5 days at bedtime) , progynova 1mg( day 9 for 9 days thrice a day), duphaston10mg (day16 for 10 days twice a day).. What are the chances of getting pregnant as I'm very anxious to conceive now married for 3.5 years....
I also want to know when to start predicting my ovulation day?
PAST HISTORY : I'm a thyroid patient and have a poor ovarian reserve
Hi, I stared the HCG diet 10 days ago using the drops. I also am trying to have a baby so I had sex three times during the week of ovulation. Last period was on January 8. I have had pregnancy symptoms, five positive pregnancy tests, no period. I did have some spotting but it was brown which makes me think that I am pregnant. I am not sure if it is the HCG drops causing a false positive test. Last night I put some of the drops on a pregnancy test and it was a faint positive. My dr. recommended a blood test and then another 48 hours later. I have poor insurance coverage as I am a business owner, and I don't want to spend the money on the blood tests this early. I usually have a 28-31 day cycle. I am thinking of just waiting a couple of weeks, I live a healthy lifestyle. Advice, sorry to ramble on.

Doctor's Answer
Hi Jaclyn!!
your issues as to whether the test for pregnancy is actually positive or not are actually confirmed by the serum beta hcg which if doubles in 48 hours means a viable and growing pregnancy.
please get the blood tests for the pregnancy done as told.
Also ,i hope you had rhogam after in your 1st pregnancy and after the miscarriage.
Also your previous pregnancy with history of incompetent os means that this condition is likely to happen again so go in for prophylactic encirclage of the ... Read Full Answer

This seems to be a recurring symptom and it appeared during summer season in the last two years also. Sometimes I get headaches that takes place on the right side of my face and head, and last for 24 hrs. I was diagnosed with cervical spondylosis two years ago. After my recent health checkup my thyroid is on the margin at 5.71. What should I do? Which doctor should I see?
Doctor's Answer
Hi,
A variety of reasons for this are dandruff, dermatitis, dry scalp, lice infestation. Rest are skin infestations like dematitis, psoriasis, rinworm of scalp and folliculitis of skin.
Application of olive oil over head lavender oil and use of lemon juice some drops to rub your hair and and then rinse them. Use of peppermint oil, applying aloe vera over scalp, massaging the hair with apple cider vinegar and water is also useful.
When dealing with Itchy Scalp, it is recommended to have judicious ... Read Full Answer
Now I am 10 weeks pregnant and my doctor is saying that USG is showing that the foetus is 9 weeks old and no such limbs are seen in the foetus. Doctor advised to take Injection CORION 5000IU weekly and ARGIPREG Sachet -1 sachet daily with other regular Tablets like ASA 50(1 daily), SYSFOL PLUS (2tab daily) and DUBAGEST-200(1 daily). Doctor is suspecting the foetus is of poor growth and poor liquor. Doctor said to take Injection for 3 weeks and if any improvements are not found then, I have to discontinue my pregnancy, but I am not in a mood to take such decision. Please guide me if I can carry my pregnancy and what shall I do now?

your case is one of high risk pregnancy as you have had one previous still birth. If Baby has poor birth weight and leads to still birth ,then other causes of poor growth of baby in recurrent pregnancies needs to be evaluated. Please get your thyroid profile done, thrombophilia screen done as these are the most common causes of theses problems.also let me know whether the baby was normal in appearance in previous pregnancy and if any autopsy was suggested to you.

Hi!!
If your pregnancy test is negative( home kit),then you should still get a blood test to rule out pregnancy. This is called a serum beta hcg test and can be done in any routien laboratory any time of the day. This test if value less tahne 5 will confirm that there is no pregnancy.
Your period can also be delayed due to PCOD, like you said that the doctor said that the eggs were not ruptured in this cycle. If the pregnancy beta hcg test is negative ,take withdrawal medication of meprate and star ... Read Full Answer
