i want to know whether i have hiv or not - tested negative in 2 months , tested negative in 5 months, ECLIA method was used - is it accurate and reliable - i have sore throat and glands swelled up

Hi, HIV is a disease in which the symptoms usually comes after about 6 months to infinity. They may not even appear for as long as 10 years and you have a total history of 5 months . ECLIA won't appear positive till the antibodies are not made against the virus. It is not 100 percent true but usually it is considered to be effective (even if it is positive, even then it is not shore that you have HIV). hello sir/madam,....I had unprotected sex with my partner few days back...after 2-3 days of the act I started having red patch wid a small round white lesion(like ulcer) on my frenulum of penis and inner part of the prepuce....plus from the next day I started having pain in my floor of the mouth plus having bleeding while brushing my teeth(after brushing when I spit I see blood but cannot find the origin of the bleed...I have not got any blood test done...I am very worried whether its an STD or something more serious like cancer or HIV.....plus the female with whom I had sex also suffered from infection wid burning sensation and pain while urinating the next day and she took third generation cephalosporin tablet and placentrex gel for 3 days which relieved her symptoms....please suggest me what should I do....thanks in advance....

Hi... I am Supriya. I have been married for 7 yrs from now and I am suffering with infertility problem. Hi Supriya!! TB of the fallopian tubes can lead to infertilty as the tubes get blocked.In your case the TB of the tubes,is probably the most important cause of the infertilty. If tb has been confirmed like you say,my advice would be that you take complete treatment for tuberculosis.The complete treatment would be allopathic treament which can range from 6-9 mths depending upon the extent of disease.As far as my knowledge goes, I am not aware of any ayurvedic/homeopathic treatment for TB. ...

Hi, White patch can be vitiligo and rashes can be due to simple bacterial infection it can't be said what is it without examining you. If you want you can attach your photo then i will be able to tell you better. You can get tested for hiv if you want to remove any thought about it. The condom broke off during a intercourse 5 hours before thought of the PEP Treatment and medicines in case if any issue happens. I was having sex with a stranger , she told she don't have HIV. Hi, The only way for hiv prophylaxis is these drugs or you another way which might be possible is that you request that girl that she should get tested herself for hiv although this is not a sure method because she might be in her latent period,but if she is a prostitute then she might be infected from before only. Sir, I had protected sex with a women / sex worker around 37 days back. She was having periods at that time, which I was not aware about. While removing the condom, a drop of blood came on my finger (My condom was not torn or damaged). After around 20 days, I developed a small genital wart on my pence. I immediately went to a dermatologist / STD specialist and told him the entire episode correctly. He told me that it was an HPV virus and the immune system of the body will eventually clear it with passage of time. For the wart I was advised to apply a topical cram "Imiquimod" every alternate day. I was also asked to get a VDRL test. My VDRL test came "Non Reactive" after 21 days of the exposure. However as I was extremely worried about the entire edisode, I decided to get the HIV test done today i.e. after 37 days of exposure. So I got an HIV 1/2 & P24 Combo Test done from . My report has come out to be "Index Value = 0.12" "Result= Non Reactive". My question is, in your opinion how reliable is this report?

Yes that's right - the antibodies can take up to 3 months, sometimes longer, to appear but the p24 antigen assay becomes positive much sooner after exposure. Still no test is fool proof and you should get retested in 8 weeks time - just the HIV 1/2 antibodies will be enough. Hi , on a routine dental check up my doctor suggested that I might have Candida on my Tongue . My tongue looked normal to me , I didn't notice any unusual "white stuff" on it but the test was done afterwards at my GP and results came back positive for candida . My doctor prescribed Daktarin . I was using it for one week - and instead to get cured my tongue is now obviously infected by candida and covered in white . It looks much worse since I used Daktarin for one week . It looked normal before . I did not use antibiotics , I'm not hiv positive , I'm not taking any other medications or known conditions . I do work hard and I'm under lot of stress all the time . Because of chemotherapy for lymphoma many of them white blood cells that fights infection gets reduced making u immunocompromised, so u get infections with opportunistic bacteria or fungal. Please go for complete blood test to find wbc count and take physician opinion. ...

The Large Amalgam filling 30 years old should be ruled out as the cause.
