PAST HISTORY : Clindamycin and doxycycline for acne

Hello,
Your dark spots are suggestive of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation as is common in Indian skin types after acne. These should gradually improve on their own but can last years in some people. Treatment wise they respond fastest to a 2-4 % Hydroquinone cream used once at night for 4-8 weeks. This can be combined with a AHA lotion such as Glycolic acid - either in lotion form (6% Glycolic acid) or as a Glycolic acid face wash. Vitamin C serum is also useful. Lastly it is very important to use an SPF 30 or higher sunscreen on a daily basis (at least morning and afternoon).
Certain procedures like chemical peels, mesotherapy and microdermabrasion can be used if there is insufficient improvement with the creams/serums. Q switched Nd:YAG laser can be used for resistant pigmentation.
Please note that the information I have provided is for general purposes only and does not establish a patient-doctor relationships. No prescription cream or tablet should be taken without consulting a doctor in person.
