Hi,
No history given by you only suggests infection in body ( because of raised tlc count ), which could be because of any organisam.
Hiv 1 and 2 you yourself told to be negative.

hi, many thanks for your reply. yes, hiv 1 and 2 are negative but its by rapid chromatographic immunoassay method. is it reliable? my question actually was that would the levels be suggestive of seroconversion stage. and are these tests conclusive or should any other technique say western blot be used. please suggest thanks

P.S..... wud also like to mention that hiv 1 and 2 have been done every 3months for since april last year and have been negative consistently. thanks

Hi,
I think you should better go for a western blot test for confirmation.
Yes the test is fine.
But because western blot is more confirmatory that would be better.
