However , many people who suffer from enlarged liver don't drink too much, and need to look for diet low in what's called high glycaemic index. You should focus your diets around fresh, preferably raw fruits and vegetables, along with home made juices, and to purge your diets of all simple carboh ...

Hello Doc, My periods delayed by 7 days, so i took a pregnancy test using the kit available in the market. It showed C and T lines to be pink confirming pregnancy. But as I was not in a shape to have a baby, I took two pills of regulin forte to abort it. After three days, I had heavy vaginal discharge for half an hour and then it stopped completely. Now after 7 days I undertook the same test again, this time C was dark pink and T was pale pink.. what should I do now. kindly advice.

Hi!! The pregnancy test can remain positive for uptil 2 weeks after an abortion. To rule out if pregnancy is completely aborted or not,so please get a serum beta hcg test done. This is a blood test that that checks the same hormone of pregnancy in the blood that the urine test checks. A beta hcg test is done in all laboratories and the results are usually available after few hours. The beta hcg test in serum( blood) if more than 5 indicates pregnancy,so maybe your pregnancy is not completely abor ...

I let an abcessed tooth go untreated for about six months and during that time i had an exam for a life insurance policy. The blood test revealed that I was having liver function problems, everything on the test was perfectly normal except my ast and alt levels were really high. Could that be because the infection had gotten into my body?

Not just the tooth but infection on any part of the body will surely lead to changes in antigen- antibody levels. The retained infectious tooth needs to be treated as soon as possible and you need to start with antibiotics. Based on the extent of the damage either a root canal treatment, apicoectomy or extraction maybe needed. ...

I need to abort my 3 to 4 weeks old pregnancy. I have tested my urine wait the pregnancy test tube (HCG test tube). It gave me a positive pregnancy result. Now i wish to abort it at home. I do not wish to go to the hospital and am not economically well too. hence please guide me with the quick abortion in a simple way.

Hi!! Pregnancy cannot be less tahn 4 weeks as it is always counted from the day of the last menstrual period,so your pregnancy should be calculated accordingly. Also, termination of pregnancy ,is not such a simple procedure, so kindly consult a gynaecologist, get an ultrasound done for early pregnancy to calculate the exact size of the pregnancy, blood group and haemoglobin done. Taking over the counter medications cause more harm and may even be life threatening,so kindly refrain without proper pre ...

On the 11th day and 17th day after exposure went for both DNA PCR test and P24 antigen test and all the 4 tests turned out to be negative. Please appraise me about my current status and shud I consider the results to be conclusive . Please let me know wether I shud go for any more tests . If yes , which test and at what time frame . I somehow managed to avoid any sexual contacts with my wife. Looking forward to your kind reply and I am under lot of stress and guilt

Hi, That is true that it gives a conclusive result as told by the company, however since i have not seen many results by myself so i am not very confident since the test is not very old. You may get your test repeated now, just to get it confirmed and you may visit an internal medicine specialist and if you are so anxious you may also have hiv prophylaxis (if the doctor md medicine thinks it right for you). Don't worry as much as i have read about the test it is conclusive but since the test is ...

Hi, Yes your child is suffering from congenital hypothyroidism. Although it is mild, he will need to be prescribed with drugs, because hypothyroidism is a very common cause for retarded growth and mental retardation. Rest everything is related to the initial time of birth. That only means that your daughter in law will need to be prescribed with anti d injection before next pregnancy. ...
