Will I be able to conceive and carry on with the pregnancy successfully. My Doctor has prescribed the following medicines : 1. Decdan 0.5 mg 2. Ovafar 50 mg 3. Inj hMG 75 IW (Im) - Humog Follicle Size in mm on Day 11 - 02.02.13 = 11x11 on Day 15 - 06.02.13 = ruptured Please explain what the follicle report indicates and why the above medicines have been prescribed to me

Hi, I am 28years old and married 4years ago. I am trying to concieve. I am having PCOS and lil high prolactin. I have done the follicle study 3times and all the 3times egg was released but no success in getting preg. This time too my doctr gave me initial 5days siphine 100mg tablets and did scanning till 14th day however i was having multiple small follicles. Doctor told me this time chances for releasing egg is less however i will get my period on time. Now it is 40th day and i have done home preg test but negative. Usually whenever i have taken 5days siphine 100mg tablets i used to get my periods on 28 to 30days. What is the reason for delay in getting my period this time? Will there be chances for preg ?

If your pregnancy test is negative( home kit),then you should still get a blood test to rule out pregnancy.This is called a serum beta hcg test and can be done in any routien laboratory any time of the day.This test if value less tahne 5 will confirm that there is no pregnancy. My appendix ruptured 4 days before I went into the hospital for any treatment. Obviously at the time I was very unaware of what it was until after being diagnosed through a very rapid volly of tests and scans, which within hours resulted into surgery. I thought I pulled a muscle or broke/chipped a rib. After I woke from survey the doctor explained my appendix did rupture but luckily, and she quoted to "luckily" in the "chances of winning the lottery" way. she went on to explain that it looked like it ruptured days ago.(I went 4 days of same intense pain levels). She said where it ruptured was "luckily" so close to my colon that the poisonous puss acualy fused my ruptured appendix to the side of my colon which resulted in a, and again I quote, "a miracle bandage", that somewhat sealed most of the deadly toxins that surely would of.."should of" killed me within hours, a few days at best, without immediate care and heavy antibiotics. It was so bad she had to remove part of my colon and needed to make 2 separate incisions. I lay here now after a 2 day after care stay, at my home, with a long drain tube still attached and sucking poison out, a bottle of pain meds which I won't take and refused before surgery also, and a huge bottle of strongest antibiotics prescribable that I must take for at minimum 14 days. I'm a single full time father of 3 girls, twins(almost 14) and a 10yr old. We have no other family, they are what I live for, my strength, my joy, my pride and I litteraly thank god every night for allowing me to care, provide, and have another day together. I never thought I could be more grateful for each day given my past I didn't deserve it. my question is simply this, and thank you for reading, Was I really that close to death? Or is my doctor trumping it up so I'm more conscious about seeing my doc more than once every 5-7 years if that? I will start regular check ups and won't tuff things out to much as a result..BUT COULD I HAVE DIED THAT FAST? THAT EASILY?? please be straight up..no bs..no need to be drawn out.. i have a history of 6 yrs of PCOS with high levels of Serum Prolactin around 94-120. my height is 5.6 ft & weight 65kgs. i have hyper pigmentation patches on cheeks due to hormonal problem. i had concieved a healthy baby in year 2011 after my marriage which I aborted medically due to personal reasons. last year i concieved a tubal ectopic pregnancy which unknowingly ruptured in fallopian tube and had to be operated in emergency. now i want to plan a baby. my wife had discharges from her breast in 2012 oct, a doctor prescribed parlodel for months, but weshe has not been able to conceive. Another doctor treated both of us ofstaph disease that was isolated after CST, weshe was placed on clomid but no conceptionn s. ; her prolactin levels and other hormone test are normal now. Transvaginal scan was done this Jan says bilateral polycystic ovarieses(15 by 16mm periovulatory follicle noted onLt ovary) , b,both ovaries appears to be fixed and adhered t the uterine wall. NO free fluid or adnxial masses.. We were reffered for HSG and the ree resulkts say no blockage, tubes are patent. Our gyneacologist checked all the results and said we should not be worried ad about the polycystic ovaries , saying its not significant: please what else should i do; help me

I visit an OB to work out for pregnancy I'm just 4 months married, she prescribed me Premarin for 2 days and Arcalion for my husband for 5days. After that she took an tbs to check if I'm ovulating and she sees there the 1.5 size of follicle and after two days we had done tbs again to check if the follicle grown in its size, but it didn't, so that means the Premarin that she prescribed did not effect as she said it will help the follicle to grow? Now in this month of Oct, my period suppose to come just like last month it suppose to come on 24 but it came on 22, so I suppose to expect to come earlier than last month.

Hi there. Premarin does not really help for your follicles to grow. There are other ovulation induction medicine such as clomiphene citrate. Menstruation rarely does come at the same day every month. As long as it is in the 21-35 day cycle, counting from the 1st day of menstruation until the 1st day of next menstruation. Please be patient. Pregnancy rarely comes after only one cycle of treatment.
