hi, I am 26 year old male.My heart pulse rate is 100 bpm at rest, blood pressure range from 120-136/80-90, when high blood pressure I have pain behind eye and headache. I also feel chest tightness sometime. when I walk or do physical activity I can feel slight breath. From recent blood work my chelostorel is 245. what could be the problem?

Hi, You should try to lower it right now with diet first for 3-4 months. If no effects are seen then you may go on with drugs for this(raised cholesterol). Your blood pressure is not high otherwise it is just a little raised for your age. As soon as your cholesterol comes down your b.p will also reduce. in jan end there was unprotected sex on 03 april i felt burning sensation on my penis ,on 04 april i was diagnosed for uti by surgeon as there was 1-2 pus cell in my urine and prescribed with antibiotic for a week. it did not give me relief i refered to a urologist and told him everything, he has diagnosed me for prostattitus after physical examination and my semen culture showed no growth,but pus cells 4-6hpf the urologist said there is no STI . he has prescribed me the foll doxy 100mg twice daily for 15 days lenoflox 500 once daily for 4 weeks t.alfoo 10mg one daily for 3 months it has been 15 days since i am having the med but the burning sensation comes often on the right bottom of the head of my penis with no other symptom .what can be the possible reason there is no discharge/rashes on my genitals only this burning sensation pl tell me if i need to show to some other urologist or is it that i have an std which the urologist could not diagnose if so then whom should i consult and what all test of std should i conduct .the urologist has said that i do not require any STD test as i have simple prostatits but the fear of std is troubling me or do i need to consult a pshycatrist pl help

I might have liked to give some other medicines,but then the doctor might have noticed something on your examination to give you this medicine. Hi, I am not sure,your doctor must have examined you so he can might be telling better,but i belive you should have complet liver tests including pt aptt and coagulation profile and billirubin levels and also repeat the tests you already have. Although yellow eyes can also be due to mddy sclera,some people have muddy sclera. Your tsh is also raised so he might be telling you for some test or may be you could be directly be put on medicines for this. Time taken is different for diffirent person ...

My daughter is 13, she has complained of her legs hurting for several years, she has pin pointed it to calf pain, which he has now developed palpable lumps in both legs (calves). She has pain on a daily basis, no previous history of fractures, I was told muscle strains by our dr in the past, however chronic pain and now lumps. I'm thinking it is more than that. She takes pain relievers about 3-4 days a week now, pain wakes her up at night, pain is present without any physical activity. No redness, swelling, or trouble walking. She is an athlete. She has stated before her teammates have to stretch her and rub her legs so she can run. Can you please, please give me a direction where to research. She is going to the dr in 2 days. But what I'm reading is of course making me more concerned!

This can be related to stress pain in adolescent aged girls after physical activity. She should be consulted with nearby physician, and certain investigations like Serum CPK levels can be done. Hi, In Jan2010 one fine morning I woke up to find permanent heaviness + tinnitus in my right ear with hearing loss. Repeated audiometry tests show 50% hearing loss. Now I have permanent Tinnitus along with hearing loss. Of late, I have noticed constant pain in my skull's right side (areas including: upper & lower molars jaw bone, joint where jaw fits into the skull, joint just above the eyebrows). This pain is cyclical, sometimes very noticeable & sometimes not. During my initial examination tests, doctors had suspected tumour for which MRI scan was negative. That time I had no pain in the skull, however now I do and hence I fear the worst. Thus wanted to know your opinion of what should I do; which kind of opinion / treatment must I seek? Thanks.
