My mom who is 70 has been on ecosprin and other blood thinners since october 2012 after suffering a stroke. She has got her tooth extracted 5 days back. She had stopped ecosprin for a couple of days befrore and after the extraction which she has now resumed. Her gum bleeds quite heavily atleast a couple of times in a day. It stops when we apply a tea leaves and ice pack. Can you please help me understand if this is ok, our stroke doctor is travelling and we are unable to reach him

Hard to unswer exactly, because it can have several reasons. As usually cold weather causes vasospasm of heart vessels and some anginal symptoms, including shortness of breath, theoritically we can consider the same thing here. In addition cold water can cause some types of cardiac arrhythmias in patients who have underlying heart diseases, and this arrhythmia can be felt like shortness of breath. I hit my head yesterday around 5pm really hard with a car door(top of forehead over right eye) Fairly large knot appeared within minutes, put ice on it for about 4 hrs and got the sweeling to go down some, head hurt but had a horrible headache around 12am, went to bed got up around 3am and felt sick, the corners of my eyes where a little blurry and started vomitting off and on for 4-5 hours. I still fill sick to my stomach, and I can see better, did I just have a small concussion, and probably will feel better later today, or should I go to the doctor.

if you dont have headache and vomitting you need not worry, sleep with head in a prop up position ,if not relieved after24hrs please check with your doctor ...

Hi, I am 26 years old. While getting into bus, as soon as i placed my right leg in bus, bus moved and my right knee started paining. There was a swelling near knee area. Its been 3 weeks now. I have already seen orthopaedic who says it's nothing to worry and gave pain killer and ice pack press. But my xray shows tissue swelling and early osteoarthritis signs.
