My left wisdom tooth has been growing in side ways, but has not been able to come in fully. It started hurting about two days ago. I did not think anything of it and thought it was just growing in more. There was a flap of skin/gum covering part of the tooth. When I went to brush my teeth this morning, I noticed that part of it (underneath where the skin covered before) was now a blackish color. I got a sore throat and swollen lymph nodes only on the left side of my throat around the same time my tooth started hurting. Are these related? I have a dentist appointment in a week. Is there anything I can do to help it to make it better or ease the pain? It hurts to chew on that side of my mouth and it hurts when I swallow. Will my tooth be okay until I get to the dentist and what will be done by the dentist? Do you think my tooth is infected? Will I have to take antibiotics?

Hi, HIV is a disease in which the symptoms usually comes after about 6 months to infinity. They may not even appear for as long as 10 years and you have a total history of 5 months . ECLIA won't appear positive till the antibodies are not made against the virus. It is not 100 percent true but usually it is considered to be effective (even if it is positive, even then it is not shore that you have HIV). Hi, If you are asking me about the antibiotic prescribed to you is correct or not ,then yes it is correct. A little over 3 weeks ago I went to the Dr for what he said was a really bad sinus infection. I was prescribed a 10 day course of antibiotics & I felt better. Well the last week Ive had a sore throat on the left side, an ear ache on the same side, a chesty cough I never got rid of and now bad breath. There are red streaks on the back of my throat which I assume are just from the stress of constantly coughing. I called the dr. & told him my symptoms and he seemed unalarmed and prescribed me another 10 day course of amoxicillian. My only concern is that its not a sinus infection because my sinuses aren't bothering me this time around - Im not even congested. Any ideas what it could be? Should I call the DR and make him actually see me or will the amox work? Please no smart-alec comments about dental hygiene -- I brush 3 times a day & floss, so its not because i am not brushing

I am currently being treated for a infected tooth with Penicillin VK 7 day treatment. Before I found out I had a infected tooth I was treated with 2 different antibiotics for what was thought to be a sinus infection. This has all been within the last 3 months. My right side primarily I have pretty much constant nasal blockage. I also have mucus between my chest and my nose....lots of dripping down the back of throat, coughing it up and constant nose blowing. However I believe that there is just some stubborn mucus that doesnt smell good that I am having a hard time getting out. What can I do about this, the only relief I get is if I use nose spray, but I dont want to use that all the time. I need nasal relief.

The Best option for you is to consult ENT specialist and resolve the problem. You must carry the list of Antibiotics taken by you in past to the ENT specialist for his/her reference so as to get a better knowledge of your drug history.. ...

I think you have more of sinus related problem, you need to do steam inhalation and consult your ENT specialist for mucolytic agent. ...

i am due to have an operation on my collapsed ear drum, however while i wait my ear infections are getting worse,todays one had me in pain in my cheek teeth and throat and a load of discharge started to pour out of my ear like never before!! what i am scared about is the doctors say if i dont get the operation done my left side of face could drop like a stroke victim and stay like this permanently is this true?

42 yo female. I have an approx. pencil eraser sized lumped on my right tonsil that is flesh colored and in which I can see the veins in. There is a spot of white on the front of the lump I'm thinking could be bacteria. My concern with the lump is that it appears more as a hemroid would, a lump pushed through the skin wall, not as a lump sitting on the skin wall. I have used a q-tip to investigate the lump with no change. It is near the top of the side of my throat above the tonsil where the throat is starting to curve up. It is smooth all around this spot with only this lump coming down from the wall of my throat there, and the flesh color and veins match that of the smooth skin surrounding it.

Hi Puneet, Every time i eat something i have this inflammatory sensation in my throat that's kind of very uncomfortable. I cannot eat spicy food at all these days. Every time i eat junk food like burgers or Pizza or KFC, i end up having problem with my stomach (stomach upset mostly). This problem started since 2010 when i was doing night shifts for my company. There was a time when i did graveyard shift for 3 consecutive weeks. I stopped doing night shifts after i had problems with my stomach. I have a very tough time in finding food of my taste here. I generally prefer salads and bland food. Fruits rich in alkaline level tend to help me a lot. I'm not married yet, so its very difficult for me to find such food everywhere especially at my workplace. I consume alcohol every weekend but next day morning i end up having acidity. So i have to take ENO (fruit salt) to feel better. This has been the case since 3 years now. The only food which suits me is Bland food and fruits (especially the ones rich in alkaline level). I would really appreciate your help with this. Thanks!

Hi, You can have acinil-o along with pantoprazole but pantop will have better effects than acinil-o. Then in 7th point I told about alcohol and not water.
