I have what I thought was a bruise falring up a bit on my right chin / jaw line. I could feel the bump but could not remember being hit to cause such a decent size lump. My children often kick and hit me in the face in play. But to get this size lump would have been memorable unless at 39 my body now can't handle even a gentle bump. But it seems to now be getting slightly worse and is begining to feel numb and slightly itchy. I have a very mild middle bottom tooth infection. I thought if my gland was up it would be a lower / under my chin swelling which it is not under the chin but on and if anything above. I am visably looking like fred flintstone actor's chin on one side / elephant man slightly.

Hi, If your swelling is on the same side as the tooth ache, it could be because of the existing tooth infection. To determine if the cause is the tooth or not, you need to visit a dentist and get a complete oral examination done specifically focusing on that particular side of the jaw. Preferably, get an x ray to see the tooth also. It could be a tooth infection leading into a space infection. my age is 58 years residing at calcutta. when i was returning by train On 13.2.13 a copassanger fall down on my knee by slipping from upper berth. i sustained injury on my legament of left knee. after MRI it is revieled that bone bruise is seen in upper end of tibia and patella with tear of anterior cruciate ligament, medial colleral ligament and posterior horn of medial meniscus. Hi, 48 hours after taking 2 doses of Ecotrin I woke up with a round dark bruise, encircled in red, on my upper arm which is the size of a dime. It's been 2 days and the bruise doesn't seem to be fading. Is this something I should be concerned with?

Asprin may increase bleeding time by platelet inhibition. There may be spontaneous bleeding from minor injury if you already have low platelet count or blood disorder. I recommend you to go to doctor and do lab investigation for proper evaluation. Thanks ...

Received an IV just over 3weeks ago in my wrist (ouch). In the last 7days or so my entire arm is in pain, with my vein protruding along the forearm, making a slight bruise along the path of the vessel. I notified the doctors office asap, and was told by a nurse that I should use a warm compress and "move the vein around." Um no thank you- not comfortable with that. So here I am only a few days after being reassure that I am OK, but NOW both my hands/fingers are also very cold with my left foot + toes extremely numb and discolored. Clearly an issue, but it's 330am and I'm desperately seeking some piece of mind so I can finally sleep for a few hours. Definitely going to the clinic in the morning tho!!!! Please help

I am 62 & have osteoporosis. I hit my lower leg 3 days ago getting decorations out. No bruise or swelling but bad pain. I hit the mid of lower leg but pain goes down to ankle when I walk. Any ideas?

Hi thanks for the query. From the complaints you had explained i would first like to consider your age and osteoporosis. I advice you to visit your local orthoaedician and get an x-ray of leg to rule out any injury to bone. I was hit in the face over two weeks ago now. It did bruise slightly (nothing major) but there is a small lump still there on my cheek bone and only hurts to touch but doesn't seem to be reducing? What could this be?

It looks like you have an haematoma there, do not worry just leave it, if it hurts you can take hot fermentation. it takes usually 2-3wks to resolve by itself ...

I fell off a quad bike a week ago and landed on my right hip/bum. Its still very sensitive and hurts when i sit put any pressure on but i've still got no bruising, is this normal? However a tiny bruise has appeared on my bum but nowhere near the size of the area i am getting pain from.
