Hello Gaurav,
What you have is called post inflammatory hyperpigmentation and this will gradually improve over the coming weeks. Melas skin cream is too strong for use in the under-eye area and I would not recommend it. The first step in treating your problem would be to control any remaining inflammation. This can be done with a mild steroid like Desonide cream applied twice a day for a week. After this a mild skin lightening cream like a Kojic acid cream can be started once at night for 4-6 weeks to lighten the discoloration. Take an oral antioxidant like Beta Carotene 30 mg after breakfast and dinner for 2-4 weeks as well.
Strict sun protection is important, so use an SPF 30 or higher sunscreen on a daily basis, at least every morning and afternoon.
Please note that the information I have provided is for general purposes only and does not establish a patient-doctor relationships. No prescription cream or tablet should be taken without consulting a doctor in person.
