my 6 year old boy woke up yesterday with a swollen right cheek and has woke up this morning and been sick now he is sleeping do u think thay are related ?

Could be related to a decayed tooth and an abscess. See a pediatric dentist at the earliest.

swollen right cheek is may be due to some dental infection , such infection may cause fever . kindly go for dental check up once..

If your boy woke up with a swelling on the cheek visible from outside ,most probably there is an infected tooth with an abscess which will require immediate treatment and yes this can be the cause of his fever .

My father is 78 years old and has been suffering from constipation for the last 2 years. He has also lost a lot of weight around 10 kgs in this time span. In the last couple of months he has been complaining that his abdominal muscles have torn due to bowel straining and now he says there is loss of muscle in his stomach area. Which is why when he lies down everything is fine but when he sits up and walks around he feels like he is carrying a weight in his stomach. After intake of food it becomes worse and he also gets bloating. We have done all possible tests - colonoscopy, CT scan, ultrasound sometime last year and everything was clear. The doctors gave a verdict of idiopathic constipation and left it at that. His blood work is fine, haemoglobin levels, cholestrol etc. He still suffers from constipation. His prostrate is enlarged but results are fine. What is the solution to his stomach muscle problem ? Is it lack of exercise, lack of protein ? He doesnt have a pot belly and has never had and had always been physically active and fairly slender.

Hi, History told by you favours irritable bowel syndrome ( IBS ). There are two alarming signs in your case : Firstly, loss of weight and that to10kg approx. Secondly, sensation of carrying a weight in stomach. Both of them do occurs in IBS. My left wisdom tooth has been growing in side ways, but has not been able to come in fully. It started hurting about two days ago. I did not think anything of it and thought it was just growing in more. There was a flap of skin/gum covering part of the tooth. When I went to brush my teeth this morning, I noticed that part of it (underneath where the skin covered before) was now a blackish color. I got a sore throat and swollen lymph nodes only on the left side of my throat around the same time my tooth started hurting. Are these related? I have a dentist appointment in a week. Is there anything I can do to help it to make it better or ease the pain? It hurts to chew on that side of my mouth and it hurts when I swallow. Will my tooth be okay until I get to the dentist and what will be done by the dentist? Do you think my tooth is infected? Will I have to take antibiotics?

Hi there I have been to the doctors on Xmas eve and he said I have sinusitis as all my nasal passage was blocked I had a lot of pressure and tooth ache and head ache , he told me to take ibuprofen and sudafed and steam inhalation to which I did , that night went to bed and woke with terrible ear ache in my right ear after 4 hours it started cracking and eventually released fluid which then released the pain of ear ache , Christmas Day night it started in my left ear but this time the pain was so bad that nothing touched it and I was almost delirious ! Eventually it to cracked and popped and released fluid ! Both ears are still a little achy but bearable but they are still leaking and I am now a little death and I have ringing in my right ear constantly , I am taking antibiotics now started them on Christmas Day amoxicillin what do you think is going on in there I'm very concerned

Hello, I began my period on Monday and I feel as though i have an abrasion on the right side of my vaginal opening. Yesterday, removing a tampon was uncomfortable, but today the pain was nearly unbearable. I also began experiencing UTI symptoms yesterday (urge to pee, pain in urethra and bladder at the end of urine stream). I was recently on antibiotics for a sinus infection and took my last pill on Monday. I've also been tested for STDs within the last year and have had the same sex partner. My hubby and I did have rough sex on Sunday but I felt fine and I urinated as normal. Could the antibiotics have given me a uti? What do you think about the scratched feeling? I'm getting worried.
