I have got my molar extracted today and its paining like crazy.. i am prescribed diclofanec 500 but its effect last for about 3 hrs only.. how frequent can i take it..

PAST HISTORY : tooth extracted today and got one root canal done last week

If the pain is not controlled by diclofenac, you can take a stronger medication. Take 2 tablets of KETOROL-DT, dissolve in a glass of water and drink. It should help with the pain relief and you will be able to sleep at night. From tomorrow just take 1 tablet of this three times a day ( 8 hourly) . Please follow the instructions given by the dentist for a speedy recovery. Good luck

Have gum pocket infection left lower side molar. Taking clyndamycin 300 mg. every eight hrs.. Tooth is healthy. Never had a filling. Have been on clyndamycin now for 10 days and it does not seem to be helping.

My left wisdom tooth has been growing in side ways, but has not been able to come in fully. It started hurting about two days ago. I did not think anything of it and thought it was just growing in more. There was a flap of skin/gum covering part of the tooth. When I went to brush my teeth this morning, I noticed that part of it (underneath where the skin covered before) was now a blackish color. I got a sore throat and swollen lymph nodes only on the left side of my throat around the same time my tooth started hurting. Are these related? I have a dentist appointment in a week. Is there anything I can do to help it to make it better or ease the pain? It hurts to chew on that side of my mouth and it hurts when I swallow. Will my tooth be okay until I get to the dentist and what will be done by the dentist? Do you think my tooth is infected? Will I have to take antibiotics?

I have what I thought was a bruise falring up a bit on my right chin / jaw line. I could feel the bump but could not remember being hit to cause such a decent size lump. My children often kick and hit me in the face in play. But to get this size lump would have been memorable unless at 39 my body now can't handle even a gentle bump. But it seems to now be getting slightly worse and is begining to feel numb and slightly itchy. I have a very mild middle bottom tooth infection. I thought if my gland was up it would be a lower / under my chin swelling which it is not under the chin but on and if anything above. I am visably looking like fred flintstone actor's chin on one side / elephant man slightly.

Hi, If your swelling is on the same side as the tooth ache, it could be because of the existing tooth infection. To determine if the cause is the tooth or not, you need to visit a dentist and get a complete oral examination done specifically focusing on that particular side of the jaw.
