My husband was recently diagnosed with a thoracic aortic dilation of 4.2 during a preop echocardiogram. Cat scan was also done. No evidence of dissection. He is having bilateral knee replacement on January 17. His cardiologist has cleared him for surgery for both knees. Should we be getting a second opinion.
I should mention he is 67 years old, no evidence of heart blockages, no diabetes.

I am 28years old and married 4years ago. I am trying to concieve. I am having PCOS and lil high prolactin. I have done the follicle study 3times and all the 3times egg was released but no success in getting preg. This time too my doctr gave me initial 5days siphine 100mg tablets and did scanning till 14th day however i was having multiple small follicles. Doctor told me this time chances for releasing egg is less however i will get my period on time. Now it is 40th day and i have done home preg test but negative. Usually whenever i have taken 5days siphine 100mg tablets i used to get my periods on 28 to 30days. What is the reason for delay in getting my period this time? Will there be chances for preg ?

If your pregnancy test is negative( home kit),then you should still get a blood test to rule out pregnancy.This is called a serum beta hcg test and can be done in any routien laboratory any time of the day.This test if value less tahne 5 will confirm that there is no pregnancy.

Even condoms are not 100 percent effective at times leakage can occur in a condom and you can even get pregnant by pre penile secreations, may be secreations you might have had during fore play.

I have done ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis and the report i got is LIVER,GALL BLADDER, PANCREAS, SPLEEN and UNRIARY BLADDR
is normal.
But KIDNEY :
Right kidney : 70*32mm
Left kidney : 79*35mm
Both kidneys are decreased in size. Renal parenchymal echo texture increased in bilateral kidneys. Cortical indentations noted in bilateral kidneys. No calculi or hydronephrosis in either kidney.
PROSTATE :: Size : 37*30*35mm (Volume-20 cc)
Increased in size. Median lobe of prostate is enlarged.
Can u tell me is it very serious now or in future ?

Yes the report shows that your kidney size is reduced significantly and you need to get many tests before i can make any comment although rest all other things mentioned in the ultrasound are normal.
But you will have to get your urine report like urine routine and microcscopy,kidney function test,glomerular filtration rate.
Then depending on these test reports we will have to see whether they are enough or we might have to investigate you more.
