Hi Debbie,
Ideally stopping allegra should not cause dry tongue. If it would be an allergic reaction or a symptom of stopping the drug abruptly it would affect more than 1 spot. As you have mentioned about the surgery under general anesthesia, I feel that the dry spot maybe due to a localized mild trauma to the tongue from the instrument/tube inserted in the mouth. I would suggest that you use non alcoholic mouthwash and monitor your tongue as the problem should resolve with time.
Regards

try using a candid mouth paint with a multivitamin. Better see a dentist

Most probably, it could be due to a small injury that occurred while giving you general anesthesia. This would hold true only if you had surgery in the last week or so, otherwise you would need to have it examined once.

Hi Debbie..
It could be due to the trauma caused by surgical procedure ( during general anesthesia)
Use a tongue cleaner and better visit a local dentist.
Also give details about your drugs (medicines) which you are taking on long term basis.
