Hi Doctor, I am 25 years old right now I am 5.5 of height .Kindly help me in getting info how can I increase my height for another 3 inches that helps me to full fill my civil services,since my height the negative factor for me as of now.Kindly help me in this.

Hi,

Height are usually genetically determined and can be altered very little after bone fusion occurs.
You will have to get your self tested and may be if there is any hormonal deficiency then that can be full filled by giving you those hormonal suppliments.
Rest you can follow the following steps
1)have good high protein diet
2)do good aerobic excercise
3)have a good sleep
4)have plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables
But yo will have to visit an endocrinologists for further tests

Hello, I have had a nail fungus for a good ten years or so. When I first noticed it, I went to my doctor and he game me lamasil which I stopped taking after a few days since it had negative affects on me. Thereafter, I stopped taking care of it and just let it go for a good 7 or 8 years. I eventually grew up and started getting very self conscious of how it looked and wanted to wear sandals and flip flops and not have people think nasty things about me. A few years ago I went to my doctor again and he gave me a topical oil which I used for over a year and did not see any results. About two years ago, I noticed that a vertical brown line was starting to grow from the bottom up. I went to a dermatologist who took a sample of my nail but did not take a sample of the nail bed or from the cuticle. Biopsy came back as of course it being a fungus. He in turn gave me pills to take which I also had to stop taking since it was having a bad affect on my liver. After that, my dermatologist said that he would give me laser treatments which I did two of. They did not clear it but it looks a little bit better then what it was before. Still thick, yellow, crumbling below the nail, nail bed where new nail is growing is darker then the others and the brown line is still there. It is a thick brown line. How did I get this brown line? Did I get it because of the prolonged damage of the nail bed due to the years of having the nail fungus?

You're most welcome. Nail Melanoma does not affect multiple nails together while Longitudunal Melanonychia (LM) often does. The fact that an additional nail is showing changes is nearly conclusive that this is LM, which as I said is harmless. However it would be best to see your doctor to get this confirmed since I cannot see the affected area. hi my dad (68 years) has undergone a Turp sugery on 23rd Dec.He has been fitted with a cathether..He has been prescribed the following medicines (Pan 40 mg, levomac,augmentin 625 mg, chymoral fote)..He is taking it regularly...But the problem is he feels sleepy always and in a day sleeps for atleast 16 hrs (altough not so tight sleep)..am not sure of the reason why he feels so drowsy..can it be because of the tablets..also for info he was given spinal anaesthasia for the sugery..please advise..

Hi, I would recommend you to get a serum electrolyte done of your dad. If sodium levels comes out to be low then you have the cause and you will have to add a bit of salt in his diet and he will improve. I was prescribed betnovate for blackness under my eyes and as soon as i stopped, my cheeks were full of rashes and red bumps, then a dermatologist advised me momate. i have used for 4 years and it used to give me clear skin but now i want to stop using these steroids as i start getting rashes the moment i stop using them. Hii....I am 5.4 n half inches.....i would love to be 5.7...I am 20........My father is 5.7....and mom is 5.5..bro is 6.1.... Hi, As a girl you are have moderately nice height and the height is not small. Although your age is such that your bones centre ossification must have already occurred and is difficult that you gain height now. I have an itchy scalp, dandruff and experience pain in my hair roots.
