Dr. Shrenik Shah answered : 11 years ago
you have mostly early osteoarthritis of both the knees, you need a good consultation with orthopedist and get evaluated with standing X rays of both the knee and may be you have a locked knee since yesterday which requires an urgent attention . you may be suffering from post menopausal osteoporosis too.

Hi thanks for the query,
From the complaints you had described it could be due to wear and tear in the knee joint along with wear in the patella bone (knee cap). I would suggest you that it is age related process and do not get panicked. I advice you to get an x ray of the knee with advice from your local orthopaedic doctor. Simple medications and some supplements for the cartilage lining (glucosamine) and some knee strengthening exercises could be helpful.

early osteoarthritis changes might have set in. kindly get xrays done of knees in standing ap and lateral view. you can start off with quadriceps strengthening excercises
