This is not a side effect of Mirena. Breast feed babies can pass stools once every week (even once every two weeks). As long as the stool is soft and baby growing fine. no need to worry.

In the pamphlet it specifically mentions that this device should only be put after six weeks. The medication does get excreted in the breast milk but only in very small quantities and is unlikely to cause any serious side effects. The only reason that I can think of is that the medication might cause a decreased milk output which can cause constipation in your baby.
