Can i consume meftal spas for tooth pain in emergency time

5 Answers

Meftal Spas is basically a smooth muscle relaxant more than a pain killer and is not very useful in dental pain.
Although in emergency when you don't have access to other medicines taking mental spas might help relieve some pain

Meftal spas has no role to do in dental pain. it will give relief in stomach pains due to spasm. but yes "MEFTAL FORTE" will help you relieve pain in dental conditions. so you can go with that.

meftal spas should only be taken if u dont have access to other medicines and still taking precautions as it causes a little dizziness so u shud take care while driving or working.

Meftal spas is basically a muscle relaxant, and would be useful for pain associated with muscular spasm. For dental pain, you probably need something like Ibuprofen, Diclofenac, or aceclofenac, either alone or in combination with paracetamol to tide you over until you can get to your dentist. For more severe pain that doesn't respond to the above, you can probably add Ketorolac.

It may help only if the pain is due to muscular type like trismus, lock jaw caused due to spasm of muscles of mastication, damage to facial muscles, sometimes wisdom tooth etc.

Hello , The first and foremost thing that you need to do is to consult a good dentist, perhaps in the your near vicinity. You must have regular checkups every six months for prevention of such problems later on, this is an international protocol followed everywhere. Next, what I do get from your symptoms is that you have something’s known as a nerve exposure of a particular tooth (or sometimes set of teeth). The only treatment left to save teeth like these is Root Canal Treatment. Now i ...

Hello i had my no 48 wisdom tooth removed on thursday morning and its been nearly 3 days now. What i wanted to know was i have noticed yesterday and today that the gum which had folded over the extraction site has receeded and left behind a thin white strand of tissue. is this a normal part of the healing process. I am not in any pain and have not smoked since the day of extraction (before). Also i know your advice will be to stop permanently but how long should i wait till i can smoke again

  Doctor's Answer

The tissue tag should resolve in 7-14 days max. rinse with warm water (mix in salt) 3-5 times a day to help keep the wound clean. smoking is a personal choice. IF you truly have NOT smoked post extraction you may start now. ...

My left wisdom tooth has been growing in side ways, but has not been able to come in fully. It started hurting about two days ago. I did not think anything of it and thought it was just growing in more. There was a flap of skin/gum covering part of the tooth. When I went to brush my teeth this morning, I noticed that part of it (underneath where the skin covered before) was now a blackish color. I got a sore throat and swollen lymph nodes only on the left side of my throat around the same time my tooth started hurting. Are these related? I have a dentist appointment in a week. Is there anything I can do to help it to make it better or ease the pain? It hurts to chew on that side of my mouth and it hurts when I swallow. Will my tooth be okay until I get to the dentist and what will be done by the dentist? Do you think my tooth is infected? Will I have to take antibiotics?

I have had wisdom tooth issues for the last few years. For the second time this year I am experiencing a "locking" of the jaw. My two wisdom teeth are laying sideways instead of straight up, and they both have cracked and broken exposing the nerve. I can barely open my mouth more than an inch, can't fit a fork in there, can't yawn. It hurts. I do not have dental insurance and want to know if I go to the ER can they at least give me an antibiotic or something to alleviate the pain. It is the weekend, and Tuesday is Christmas so my primary care doctor is closed.
