Hello i had my no 48 wisdom tooth removed on thursday morning and its been nearly 3 days now. What i wanted to know was i have noticed yesterday and today that the gum which had folded over the extraction site has receeded and left behind a thin white strand of tissue. is this a normal part of the healing process. I am not in any pain and have not smoked since the day of extraction (before). Also i know your advice will be to stop permanently but how long should i wait till i can smoke again

Sir i am suffering from knee sweeling in my rt knee for 6 month,two times i hv removed water(aspiration) from it bt never found relief.some time it decrease and some time increase.all tests x rays,crp,esr are normal not yet i found any relief.4 years ago same problem were in my lft knee and dr. Removed 2 pieces(tissue) from lft knee which were found normal(non specific),till one month after surgery i couldn't bent knee even a little bit,i took physiotherapy by wax and till 9 months i could bent it onle 80% after 1.5 or 2 year i could bent it properly 100 bt with pain,still there is pain when i bent it proper,and also swelling in rt knee.Dr.'s Of hospital in which i get surgery 4 yrs ago said that same surgery will pass in rt knee,bt i am afraid because still there is pain in my lft knee,if i pass again surgery in rt knee i will face same problem of pain in my rt knee,please advice me sir if there another way to get treated without surgery like med. Or i should get treated by surgery,i am just 23 yr old boy,still there is whole life for me to live please help me.

Hello. I am 35 have ENT problems- I have had tonsillitis many times as a child and quinsy about 6 times. Following a bad time with the last quinsy I am now booked in gor a tonsillectomy on Thursday morning. My other symptoms are excessive mucus in my throat which I get out and get rid of. I have been diagnosed with polyps in my sinuses. I have been told I have a lot of scaring from the quinsy's and a tonsillectomy will not be easy due to bleeding etc. From my point of view I feel having this operation is prompt and I haven't been examined thoroughly to see if it is something else causing the abcesses. The thing is reading up about quinsy- they form after a bout of streptococcus or untreated tonsillitis. But when I get one, it can come on suddenly within hours- a gland on the left hand side of my neck swells and then within hours it hurts, stinks and I have pain all in my ear too. So I eat toast cooked about 3times so extremely hard and sharp and cry whilst swallowing it- hoping it burst and relieves the pressure. That always worked until last time and I got worse after it burst and got hospitalised for treatment. They had never treated me before or known the way it develops and now want to take my tonsils out. I have scared tissue now- surgery will be hard- then I may get more after (my throat is already tight) and if it is my Weber gland at fault having a tonsillectomy will not stop the abscess from forming again. What should I do?

One of my knee appears a bit non-flexible since 15 days. A frictional sound of colliding between bones heard along with stretching of tissue during walk; sometimes pains in local tissues likely. Also feels lack of strength in both legs since 2/3 years. A nominal BP & BS is detected recently. I'm 64 of average health with only a Prostrate-problem. i had a perianal abscess operation around 5 weeks back. I have been off antibiotics and the regular dressings for around 10 days. However, I still have pain around that area as well as regular little discharge of pus from the wound. . The histopathology report mentioned the following: Nature of Material received: Left perineal abscess wall Gross description: Received a single greyish brown congested irregular ring 1.7 x 1.5 x 1 cm Microscopic description: Biopsy shows fibrosis in skeletal muscle and adipose tissue. Hi, If you still have pain and pus discharge around that area then , either the infection is there again because it was not cleared properly( the pus drainage was not done properly ) or either it might have formed again because you might be having some co exsistent problem which probably went un diagnosed . hi bobby, your perianal abscess surgery would take atleast 2-3 weeks to heal and slowly the soreness and pain will come down day by day as the wound heals. regular dressings especially after motions is the key to successful healing. The very fact that your pus c/s report mentions E.coli, I just want to make you aware that these bacteria are from the large intestine. I recently had a miscarriage and had to go to the ER due to the amount of bleeding I had. I just found a small round lump in my breast closer to the chest but on the side. I also have implants. I never felt this lump before and check quite often because today I'm 42. Could it be related to the miscarriage? my body basically thought it had a baby and I produced some milk along with the contractions and dilation I had during the miscarriage. Period was late 4 - 5 days, then I had sudden cramping and thought it was my period symptom. Went to the ladies and realized I had passed out a lot of water like liquid on my panty liner. Later in the evening, cramping became bad, went to toilet to check, I had passed out a jelly bloody like tissue that is quite huge like a small air balloon....(it's not blood clot) and went hospital. At hospital, nurses did a pregnancy urine test but results were negative. Question: Can I pass out gestational say due to maybe some blighted ovum case but urine test still show as negative ....hcg levels low?? I had a miscarriage before just 1.4yrs ago where baby was 3 months then suddenly no heartbeat and had to perform a d/c.

If pregnancy test done on same day and negative and serum beta hcg test low, can be biochemical pregnacy . Ectopic pregnancy should be ruled out. Best thing could have been biopsy of the sac like thing which was expelled out.
