Hello Doc I am diagnosed for PCOS ,TTC with siphene 100mg. On the 13th day of my periods the follicular study shows Right 8.3X8mm ,left 9.9X7.2 mm, i was not convinced with the scan report due to some reasons which i faced during my previous scan ,so went for another ultrasound scan from another hospital on the 14th day of my periods. The folicular size on 14th day shows Right :10.6x7.6mm and Left 14.9X9.4mm My question here is how can the follicules in a day grow from 9.9x7.2mm to 14.9X9.4 mm? and are there any chances for me to concieve this time with follicules 14.9x9.4 mm on the 14th day by an HCG shot at the right time ? and taking ultrasound scans many times is of any harm ????

Hi, Ideally if some one has a regular cycle(periods) the follicle should be mature and ready to rupture on thirteenth day,size of a mature follicle is around 20-21mm when it ruptures. It depends why metformin is given to you if the only cause is pcod and is just given for this then it would be stopped after you conceive,but if you have type 2 diabetes(insulin resistance) along with pcod then it would be continued life long. I have lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. Also, have failed back syndrome after previous laminectomy and fusion (L5-S1) with bone growth stim device implant. Laminectony and fusion was done due to spondylolythesis, herniated disc with nerve compression as well as DJD and complete fracture of facet joints.Have suffered with neuropathy in right leg/foot since pre-surgery. Now have 8mm herniated disc at L4 and L3 with nerve compression. Also Grade 2 spondylolythesis and significant degeneration of L3 and L4. Have had numerous injections to back, RFA, oral steroids, NSAIDs. Do need to lose weight (am working on this). Do take opiates for pain. Neuropathy has worsened, have buttocks (bilat) pain and right leg pain. Also, have had several episodes where I cannot lift my legs,can only shuffle when I walk, back spasms as well. Sleep is impossible. Take lyrica for neuropathy with minimal relief and neuropathy has worsened recently. Am so-o sick of dealing with this all but would like to avoid surgery if possible. Any advice?

My daughter is 13, she has complained of her legs hurting for several years, she has pin pointed it to calf pain, which he has now developed palpable lumps in both legs (calves). She has pain on a daily basis, no previous history of fractures, I was told muscle strains by our dr in the past, however chronic pain and now lumps. I'm thinking it is more than that. She takes pain relievers about 3-4 days a week now, pain wakes her up at night, pain is present without any physical activity. No redness, swelling, or trouble walking. She is an athlete. She has stated before her teammates have to stretch her and rub her legs so she can run. Can you please, please give me a direction where to research. She is going to the dr in 2 days. But what I'm reading is of course making me more concerned!
