Hi I'm dealing with pericarditis for almost a year! One year in prednisones (average of 20 mgr/day) and colchicine! No improvement in my health. Every single result of any test like blood work cancer TB MRI .., every thing was negative ! What should I do? I'm tired! Eventually I was told I have idiopathic recurrent pericarditis

Hi, Usually the first line of drugs for idiopathic pericarditis are nsaids and colchicine. They are given only when attacks reoccur or you are not satisfied with simple pain killers(nsaids) because colchcine are better relievers and help reduce inflammation and reoccurence. Hi, I want go for mri scan for entire body.how much is the cost.I used get pain in the right side stomach suddenly,i went for colonoscopy but results came noraml.I generally i will goto washroom as soon as i took the food, it will happen at least once in a day like after breakfast or lucnh etc. once i fallen from bike after six months it happened i used get pain in right shoulder it will come and go.I used to throat infection frequently. from two years on wards i am suffering these kind of issues,i used go doctor they will antibiotics they will right some blood test it will come normal, i want to know where exactly my problem please suggest.

my age is 58 years residing at calcutta. when i was returning by train On 13.2.13 a copassanger fall down on my knee by slipping from upper berth. i sustained injury on my legament of left knee. after MRI it is revieled that bone bruise is seen in upper end of tibia and patella with tear of anterior cruciate ligament, medial colleral ligament and posterior horn of medial meniscus. Effussion is seen.changes of chondromalacia patella also present.now leg is bending 90 degree after wax bath and IFT .need surgery or automatically will cure please your valuable opinion? pls. advise regarding disadvantages of arthroscopy....will it stop fluid collection in the knee after the anticipated debriis are removed...this is for my staff who is abt 40 yrs and possibly had a silent injury 2 months back.....mri today indicated minor damage to meniscuss.... was in complete cast for abut 20 days.....fluid was removed 20 days back...which reappeared after 6 days...presently having some fluid but no pain... pls. advise if arthroscopy will help.....or any alternate therapy... regds randeep singh

Hi doctor!! Nishita frm Delhi.. My hubby had knee pain before 6 months. We went to RML, Doctore took out fluid from knee. After 2 days we went to fortis Noida. After getting MRI, x-ray, Culture nd all arthroscopy was done then. But again the same problem has occured. Please suggest what to do?

your husband must be young. i hope a synovial biopsy was taken when a arthroscopy was done? need more information regarding the mri report and the arthroscopy report to comment further ...

I am 64 yrs old. I fell 8 years ago and landed on my right hand. A few months ago my wrist started hurting and swelled up. I have had my MRI and the ligament is completely gone. I am considering having the Modified Brunelli Procedure. The pain is getting worse and I have a lot of clunking in the wrist. I do have another visit with my Dr. to discuss this further. It sounds like I don't have a choice but to have the surgery. I am concerned about the outcome at my age. What do you think?
