Hi, 9.5 mm gall stone it's a pretty big gall stone. The indications for removing stone are - any stone size which are causing distressing symptoms to patient or any single stone which is more than 1cm or 10 mm. and your mother in laws' gall stone is nearing the same size. Hi, Biliary atresia is a serious problem and worse part is it is less know. It has only surgical treatment and intially the procedure done is kasai procedure(in which a part of child intestine is used to replace the bile duct out of liver),but however if it fails then liver transplantation is the only option. I had gallbladder laparoscopic Surgery after 5days I saw blood going out from urine when I pass still so I had a urine test in it RBC 8-9/hpf and epithelial cells 1-2/hpf so do I have any problems.
