my 3 year old son, wt 19 kg, had recurrent cough .Doctor has put on budesal 0.6m twice daily for 1 mnths and subsequent month budesal and livolin. I have completed 10 days of budesal treatment.Boy is perfectly ok .doctor say to continue for diagosis of child asthma or alergic cough. second opinion of another doctor say that his x ray show grade 1 adenoids. but treatment same wd adition of l montus. i am relutant to give budesal for 2 month and want tp keep it , when required basis. please advise ..

Sir My 4.6 years old son will have frequent cough and cold..since December it got worse..made visits to ENT specialist and even to pediatrician.. MD (Rainbow Hospitals..).even conducted IGE test and result was 45.56..we used Livolon plus and two courses of Antibiotics..within a month..even we are using Nazomac-M nasal spray and Montage tablets..the cough is high in the early morning when he gets up from bed and late evening when he goes for bed..and the cough is continuous for about half an hour..we indeed gone for x-ray and the adenoids development was not so big...other thing to mention is that he is active without any fever episodes ...kindly guide us to bring down is cough down..Thank you.

Your child is having allergic cough. It is very important to find what is the main reason of coughing. since it is occurring in the morning so chances are very high that it is temperature variation related allergic cough.it would be preferable to remain in contact with your pediatrician and continue the anti allergic medicines along with metered dose inhaler ...
