I had a fall 6 months ago . Broke some cartage in my knee. My knee does a fast give out when I am walking. dont know what it is. Now I got told i have tendonitis of the ankle. It is so pain full. What is causing this and what can be done to help me. The doctor said I will some day need knee surgery and foot surgery to fuse all my bone toes together. He does not know why my knee on the out side gives a fast snap and gives out. Hop you can help me. Thank you Candie

What are the side effects of Flotral 10 mg? (the other medicines I am using are: Glycomet G1 (1 dailoy), Gluformin SR 1g (1 daily) - for DM and Telmisartan-Rosuvastatin - for Hyper tension.)

Hi, The drug you are taking comes under the group of alpha blocker, which also reduces blood pressure(has some effect). As you are already taking a medicine for blood pressure,so you should be careful. GERD. It has been on and off since 2008. The condition worsened last month in Jan 2013 and I could hardly swallow any solid food. It just gets stuck in the throat and feel like I am choking till I push the food down with water. Liquids and semi solid foods are ok. The doctors did Nasal Endoscopy, Normal Gastro Endoscopy, Esopheagal Manometry, Barium Swallow X-Ray and all tests came up normal. I was told the swallowing problem is primarily related to GERD and I was advised Cintapro 1 mg tablet for 1 month. So far as I take the tablet, I am able to take in selected solid foods fine, but not all foods. If I do not take this tablet for one day, the problem recurrs back. Question 1: How long will this motility disorder be related to GERD ? Question 2: Are there any side effects of taking this Cintapro 1 mg to help in motility on a long term basis (Say if I need to take this for some more time) Questionj 3: Are there any other tests that will show the proper reason for this motility disorder of the esophaegus (Apart from Esopheagal Manometry, Gastro Endoscopy, Barium Swallow X-Ray) etc.

GERD will persist but the effect can be decreased by life style modification like good brisk walk for 40 mins, avoiding fat, consuming more curd and buttermilk rather than milk and keeping a gap of 2 hrs between food and sleep. Cintpro is by and large relatively safe drug for long term use till now. Everytime I get into my car with AC on after some distance of journey I get severe dry lips. I suspect someone has planted some kind of radioactive material somewhere tucked away in my car to kill me slowly. Why do I get dry mouth lips in my car throughout the year? Has it anything to do with the medicines I am taking. I take Chlonazepam daily for sleep..(Revotril)

Hi, Yes it could be due to the medicine you are taking(revotril). It can bring about changes such as dry mouth and throat. However you may have plenty of water and can use some moisturizer if the drug is helping you. I am suffering from Acute Urticaria and am on Allegra together with Betnesol for the past 1 year. I also have Hypothyroidism. As a result I have gained a lot of wieght.

Thank you for the information. Your history qualifies as Chronic Urticaria. This can have many underlying causes and management consists of trying to find an underlying cause along with treating the patient symptomatically.
