To treat foot drop you will require a split tibialis posterior tendon transfer.
I cannot give you technical details but essentially the foot drop is due to non-functional tendon which fails to lift the foot up. The function is done by another tendon which is transferred into it's place.
A POP cast is required for 6 weeks. intense physiotherapy is required post-operatively. Our success rate is high due to our experience.
