Hi,
No, usually the pain is not there in withdrawal bleed due to progesterone unless it is accompanied by some other disease like endometriosis or may be some kind of haemmorage, but may depend from person to person.
You may also be a little more sensitive to pain, since you have not had your period since 9 months
Do you have any kind of burning micturition?
Do you have fever ?
Do you have constipation ?
Did you have such a kind of pain before when you were having drugs ?
Have plenty of water and a healthy diet to help you. You should inform this to your OBG

I do not have fever or constipatin nor did I have this pain before the withdrawal bleed. I am feeling better this morning and OB nurse says probably normal and just take NSAIDs. I will try more advil and hoping it has finally let up and does not return. I was more worried about one of the ovarian cysts from the PCOS rupturing. But do not know how to tell. Since bleeding is like, is this unlikely?

Hi,
Small cyst rupturing does not cause pain usually and since you are better with nsaids, you don't need to do anything and may continue with nsaids.
But haemorrhagic cyst are painful(extreme degree) and if your pain is not relieved by nsaids or you think pain is aggravating or it may be unbearable,it will be advisable to go for an ultrasound abdomen to rule out any kind of haemorrhage.
