I have dark spots on the inside of my cheeks towards the back of my mouth. It almost looks like I bit my cheeks, but I didn't. I do smoke tobacco. Please help with any info. Thanks
I had a tooth surgically extracted Dec. 20th. It has felt like it has not healed properly. Five days ago I noticed the inside gum (under tongue) back from where the tooth was extracted had exposed bone and is extremely painful. I went back to the dentist today and she said it was not from the extraction, but was a mouth ulcer causing the bone to be exposed. She Rx'ed magic mouthwash and lortab 5mg. I have appt with oral surgeon on Thursday. I am concerned about she didn't give me antibiotics and the surgeon wont give any until consultation. Is this dangerous to have exposed bone? I have lupus and I don't know how this will affect me. Help

- Lung carcinoma
- Pneumonia
For all of these you will have to leave smoking. You may quit smoking suddenly but doctors at might not recommend it because this might suddenly lead to dropping of hormone levels in blood which might cause depression.
For knowing about the exact cause about the disease, I will have to know ... Read Full Answer
I have had a metalic taste in my mouth for a few weeks. Medical conditions: I am going through menopause, so am taking HRT. The odd taste came approximately the same time I increased my Estrace dose from 0.5mg q hs to 0.75. I also take prometrium as well as 50mcg of Synthroid, which I take in the morning. Last night, the metalic taste, which now seems like a copper taste, was so intense I felt like I had electicity in my mouth. I have very good dental hygeine and was recently in for a check up so I have ruled out anything dental. thanks, Paige
