Hydrogen peroxide can cause soft tissue irritation leading to swelling or ulceration or burning sensation. you can apply local anaesthetic gel over the area. swelling will subside within a week

Hydrogen peroxide is rarely recommended these days,and yes it could cause problems in your oral cavity. We have got many different substitute for this which really help you out overnight.
