hello doctor i have bleeding after unwanted 72 pill i had unprotected sex on 11th feb and took an unwanted 72 pill on 12th feb at night just after 4 days on 17th i have bleeding and it continue without pain ! what should i do ?

Hi there. How long have you been bleeding? You ca regard your bleeding after taking unwanted as your menstrual cycle. However if your bleeding is longer or heavier than usual, you may take Tranexamic acid 1g every 8 hours and Mefenamic Acid 500mg every 8 hours. If symptoms persist, please consult your gynecologist.

I am male 40 yrs at India . I had protected sex but unprotected insertive fellatio ( 2 mins ) from a call girl . On the 11th day and 17th day after exposure went for both DNA PCR test and P24 antigen test and all the 4 tests turned out to be negative. Please appraise me about my current status and shud I consider the results to be conclusive . Please let me know wether I shud go for any more tests . If yes , which test and at what time frame . I somehow managed to avoid any sexual contacts with my wife. Looking forward to your kind reply and I am under lot of stress and guilt

Hi, That is true that it gives a conclusive result as told by the company,however since i have not seen many results by myself so i am not very confident since the test is not very old. You may get your test repeated now,just to get it confirmed and you may visit an internal medicine specialist and if you are so anxious you may also have hiv prophylaxis (if the doctor md medicine thinks it right for you). hello sir/madam,....I had unprotected sex with my partner few days back...after 2-3 days of the act I started having red patch wid a small round white lesion(like ulcer) on my frenulum of penis and inner part of the prepuce....plus from the next day I started having pain in my floor of the mouth plus having bleeding while brushing my teeth(after brushing when I spit I see blood but cannot find the origin of the bleed...I have not got any blood test done...I am very worried whether its an STD or something more serious like cancer or HIV.....plus the female with whom I had sex also suffered from infection wid burning sensation and pain while urinating the next day and she took third generation cephalosporin tablet and placentrex gel for 3 days which relieved her symptoms....please suggest me what should I do....thanks in advance....

I just recovered from kidney stones and had a stent taken out for it. A week later, I had unprotected sex and took the plan b pill, Next Choice. The next day my kidneys started to hurt again. I also have a seizure disorder and seized the night I took the pill. Can any of this be related?

Dear Doctor, Kindly go through this lengthy letter to you with patience and kindly advise me proper advise to clear my mind . I am 72 year old male from India and strictly Vegetarian.I am not sedentary type and walks 4 Â½ km every day in the morning and always active. IHD and BP and TYPE II DIABETES I have had IHD (T wave inversion) in the year 1977 and mild hypertension in 1981. DIABETES IN 2010. The doctor who has attended then on me prescribed Aten 50 in 1977. Since then I have been using Aten 50 in one form or other like Aten 50/Atenlol/Stamlobeta. 37 long years have passed with out any problem with either of these two conditions . My BP is quite normal 120/80 and some times 110/70 and some times on very few occassions 140/80 or 90 and my pulse rate will be around 58 to 65 most of the time . My BP on the day of the visting my physician is 140/80 as on 12th dec 2014. My diabetes is under control and am taking glycomet 250 mg twice a day. The attending physician who is an MD has prescribed Cresar 40 mg (Telmisartan) and asked me to stop taking Stamlobeta 50 mg which i am taking from 2006 and further said since i am using this Amlodipine combined Atenlol ,its time to change the medicine and Cresar will also take care of the diabetes and kidneys and heart (IHD) besides BP. As on 12th july 2014 my Lipid profile is very normal. Cholestrol 123 , Tryglycerides 141 ,HDL 53 and VLDL 23. Kindly advise on the following. 1. Since I am taking Stamlobeta since 2006 and prior to that Aten 50 from 1977 to 2006., do I have to taper stamlobeta dosage besides taking Cresar 40 mg? 2. Do i have to continue taking Stamlobeta in small dosage along with Cresar 40 mg?.If so in which dosage do I have to take? 3.Is cresar 40 mg safe for IHD patients also? Please do not form the impression that i have no confidence in my Physician. But i have a tendency to go for second opinion on new drugs before starting a new one. I do not blindly or in hasty manner take any new medicine .Hence I require an expert advise in the matter on the following. If you require any further info, kindly advise me. sincerely somayajulu
