I was prescribed betnovate for blackness under my eyes and as soon as i stopped, my cheeks were full of rashes and red bumps, then a dermatologist advised me momate. i have used for 4 years and it used to give me clear skin but now i want to stop using these steroids as i start getting rashes the moment i stop using them. From past 1 week i am facing the side effects of momate, my face is full of rashes and little red bumps. i know i used it for pretty long time now but please give me permanent solution to get rid of these steroids. My face is looking very ugly, please help me. Thank you

Sir.. About 7 years back I had lots of dandruff in my scalp. The dandruff wld be seen as huge flakes. At tht time I used many anti dandruff shampoos and some how it subsided aftr 6 months. Then hair loss started occuring aftr 2 years. As hairloss became evident I started using Gaine hair 2%. But on using this dandruff startd appearing. So I discontinued this. About a week back again the dandruff started coming as huge flakes. N for the last 5 years I have tinea versicolor lesions on my arms and back. I have a sever acne pimples on my upper arms and back, so to treat it i was prescribed to use persol forte cream.I am using it since 1 month and have caused skin darkning in this areas,can u suggest me wether i should continue using it or stop its use.And i wanted to know that would this dark skin get peeled off after i stop using it and in how much time!!

Hello, Well Persol Forte cream works quite well for Body Acne. It causes mild skin darkening and flaking but this usually corrects in a few days time. Instead of using it on a daily basis I would suggest using it only when you have active pimples - for a few days till they clear. Use a 2.5 or 5% Benzoyl Peroxide soap or body wash while bathing on a daily basis to prevent new pimples. This should be lathered onto the body, left on for 5-10 minutes and then washed off.
