Hi I just started taking an oral contraceptive and my gums have started to bleed and are very tender. I brush my teeth twice a day and regularly go to the dentist. This is the first problem I have had with my teeth or gums. IS it possible the two are related?

Hi, There are no harms to take i-pill(no reaction),but the t.b medicines reduces the efficacy of emergency contraceptive and the dose of i-pill might be needed to be repeated depending on how patient profile. Repeat dose of i-pill might be recommended,but only after prescription,as repeat dose may also cause excessive bleeding so don't prescribe to self. Hello Doctor, i'm suffering from halitosis problem and i had consulted a lot of dentist but nothing helped much. you need to brush your teeth twice daily and maintain very good oral hygiene. plus definitely quit smoking. It is also advisable to take antifungal tablets for around a month. nystatin is a good drug for oral thrush. Though the oral thrush will drastically reduce in a week. you need to continue the medication for a month. I just recovered from kidney stones and had a stent taken out for it. A week later, I had unprotected sex and took the plan b pill, Next Choice. The next day my kidneys started to hurt again. I also have a seizure disorder and seized the night I took the pill. Can any of this be related?

Hello, My 1& half month old daughter is hving loose motions since 1 month almost...she also developed rashes(as per doctr advise , I used fuscidin-H along wth clotrimazole dusting powder n nutrolin -b syrup )but after five days she is again bk on th track of loose motions n rashes ... So I hv started again using the same.. Wt should I do? Can I use nutrolin -b n fuscidin -h for long time...or her loose motions will get well soon .. I'm 5ft 9.9" and weigh 76.7 kgs. I have been on Femilon since October 2013 as a form of birth control. I also have PCOS features. I read that the combined pill, like Femilon, is ineffective for women above 77kgs. Is this true? What birth control is preferable for overweight women like me, if not Femilon?

Dear Doctor, Kindly go through this lengthy letter to you with patience and kindly advise me proper advise to clear my mind . I am 72 year old male from India and strictly Vegetarian.I am not sedentary type and walks 4 Â½ km every day in the morning and always active. IHD and BP and TYPE II DIABETES I have had IHD (T wave inversion) in the year 1977 and mild hypertension in 1981. DIABETES IN 2010. The doctor who has attended then on me prescribed Aten 50 in 1977. Since then I have been using Aten 50 in one form or other like Aten 50/Atenlol/Stamlobeta. 37 long years have passed with out any problem with either of these two conditions . My BP is quite normal 120/80 and some times 110/70 and some times on very few occassions 140/80 or 90 and my pulse rate will be around 58 to 65 most of the time . My BP on the day of the visting my physician is 140/80 as on 12th dec 2014. My diabetes is under control and am taking glycomet 250 mg twice a day. The attending physician who is an MD has prescribed Cresar 40 mg (Telmisartan) and asked me to stop taking Stamlobeta 50 mg which i am taking from 2006 and further said since i am using this Amlodipine combined Atenlol ,its time to change the medicine and Cresar will also take care of the diabetes and kidneys and heart (IHD) besides BP. As on 12th july 2014 my Lipid profile is very normal. Cholestrol 123 , Tryglycerides 141 ,HDL 53 and VLDL 23. Kindly advise on the following. 1. Since I am taking Stamlobeta since 2006 and prior to that Aten 50 from 1977 to 2006., do I have to taper stamlobeta dosage besides taking Cresar 40 mg? 2. Do i have to continue taking Stamlobeta in small dosage along with Cresar 40 mg?.If so in which dosage do I have to take? 3.Is cresar 40 mg safe for IHD patients also? Please do not form the impression that i have no confidence in my Physician. But i have a tendency to go for second opinion on new drugs before starting a new one. I do not blindly or in hasty manner take any new medicine .Hence I require an expert advise in the matter on the following. If you require any further info, kindly advise me. sincerely somayajulu

Hi I am 27 years old, got married in February 2015 last week and concieved in March but had abortion a month back i.e. on 10th May as baby's growth was stuck at 5 weeks though I was 10 weeks pregnant by then (Dr. never told the reason behind this problem). That was my first pregnancy, u/s post abortion revealed 1 cyst in right ovary and two cysts in left, largest one measured 22 x19 mm, a small fibroid in uterus measuring 17 x 14 mm, uterus was normal in size & echotexture with 6 mm endometrial thickness. Now u/s after first period dated 25/06/2015 says that cyst in right ovary measures 12 x 9.5 mm and left ovary has 3 cysts with thick internal echoes within, largest cyst measuring 30 x 25. Uterus size is 67 x 39 x 43 mm, combined endometrial thicness is 9.4mm and fibroid reduces to 15 x 12 mm. My Dr. is asking to undergo laproscopy as there is no other way out to cocieve. I want to enquire is it really so, can I really not get pregnant without this surgery? Kindly help, Thanks in Advance!!!
