It is often difficult to predict the need for a Root Canal Treatment immediately after trauma. Direct exposure of the pulp of the tooth through a fracture is not the only event that may necessitate one. More indirect injuries not always apparent on the xray may demand a RCT as well. In any case, if you have developed symptoms of severe pain, then I think you would be better off getting the RCT done, even if it appears like I'm sticking my neck out without adequate information.., which is partly true.

Since you have developed severe pain after 10 days, better option is RCT with either composite restoration or a ceramic crown along with medication. There is no point going through pain by waiting and experimenting.
