get a radiograph done for the area of the concerned wisdom molar. Antibiotics for the time being will be done. Warm saline mouthwashes will help.

Get an X ray done. It will suggest if there is any need to get the wisdom tooth removed or not. Antibiotics can be taken temporarily. Warm water and salt gargles are advised after every meal. Keep that area clean.

it could be because of A) the tooth being infected - in which case and Xray and extraction would be recommended
or B)just a local gum swelling - in which case medication may help relieve symptoms. if really severe and recurrent you may go in for the excision of that swollen part so as to prevent this from happening repeatedly
