Hello Doctor this is Emmanuel Nice to hear from you, actually my skin is not extremely very dark but compared to a 'White skin' it is, I'm not very pinkish, but I'm fairer than the other dark people. If I come under bright lights I look fair I don't know what medicine changed my skin colour as I'm not good at medicine. My toes, feet, neck, Hands and other private parts like me penis are also dark, I've tried the Vitamin C Calamine lotion Multani mitti allovera face wash drank water used sunscreens accordingly these only work to certain extent and I feel these are meant for people who are looking to improve their complexion and not to restore the original skin colour. I actually look like a South Asain. It took some time may be about a month my complexion became dark. I don't have any other symptoms except for skin darkening and don't have any dark spots either Please advice me with the best medicine. Thanks & Regards Emmanuel

Hi Emmanuel, Thank you for the photographs. The areas you mention - hands, feet, penis and scrotum are naturally darker than the rest of the body. The reasons for this are different. The penis and scrotum are darker because they have a very rich blood supply and this makes the skin darker. No treatment is required or indeed effective here. Hi, My face has a two-three darker tone than rest of the body. Even i go for facial every two weeks ..use sunscreens everything. I dont go out in sun also. Please help me what can i do to make my neck and face same colour tone.

Hi again, Oxybleach is a skin bleach like may others available in the market. I do not recommend any of these for skin lightening purposes since they cause more harm than good in the long run. Regards ...

Sir i've vry oily n acne prone skin and as i've vry fair complexion brown pigmentation on face has occured inspite of sunscreen application.I've undergone photofacial n chemical peeling but my pigmentation has increased. plz prescribe me treatment for hyperpigmentation n gel based sunscreen for super oily skin (hv used la shield, ansolar, rivela n so many sunscreens but all make skin vry oily). Plz suggest me good facewash n medicated serum nd night cream for my oily acne skin and for skin rejuvenation. Thanks

Dear Sheenu,with oily and acne prone skin, you should be using a face wash containing salicylic acid in it at least twice a day. For a sunscreen, look for gel based applications like Suncote gel, sunprotek or Zscreen that will protect you while not making your skin greasy. Make sure you apply a large amount (at least 2 tablespoons) whether you are indoors or outdoors at least twice a day.
