Hello doctor! I am Mrs xyz in my second month of pregnancy.I am weighing 95 kg .My obstetrician has advised me against further weight gain in this pregnancy and has also told me that obesity affects pregnancy adversely.what should I do since I am 33 years of age and have conceived with great difficuly?

Dear Mrs xyz Firstly you need to tell me whether you have conceived on your own or after taking medications( asissted conception) Secondly,you need to tell me how much weight you have gained in the last 2 month. Your obstetrician has rightly advised you against gaining too much of weight in this pregnancy.It is not advised that you lose weight in this pregnancy or follow any such diet which leads to weight loss. I had a miscarriage last year then I started folic for 3months. After finishing the course I've not conceived. Now my doc has advised me to take endogest, enclofert& oosure plus. Is it safe to take these medicines.

You should definitely still take your anti-epileptic drugs. Stopping your medication will be detrimental. Your seizures will be uncontrolled. When you become pregnant, you should consult immediately your obstetrician and your neurologist so that your epilepsy drugs will be shifted to that which is safer for pregnant women. ...

I am 16. Weak baby at birth time.mother had high levels of prolactin.took bromocriptin and conceived.i used to have breath holding episodes during infancy.turned blue face at times.was in low weight bracket upto age 10.one day woke up with severe headache at night. Handled by pain killers. 7th year of marriage now...had 2 medical abortions in the first 2yrs due to unwanted pregnancies..never used any contraceptive tools or medicines but just used to avoid intercourse in fertile window..my age 32, Ht 5.2, Wt 64kg..my husband age 33, Ht 5.7, Wt 76kg..now ttc from 6months and felt preg symptoms and miscarriage symtoms in the first month...feeling preg symtoms every alternate month from ttc..both dont have bad habits...recent blood and semen reports of both are normal... I just quit job due to work load and stress 2 months back...always having normal 28 to 30 day between menstrual cycles..now doctr prescribd OVAA SHIElD..wether to start ovaashield or to wait few more months..can i use ovulation kit this time for quality sperm to reserve for ovulation days...if not conceived then want to opt for ovaashield..pls give ur opinion on this?

In my opinion, it is better to use Ova Shield now since you are already on your 7th year of marriage. There is no reason to wait a few more months. Ovulation test kit would aid/help you in getting pregnant. However, it is not recommended just to wait for a (+) ovulation test to have intercourse. It is recommended to have sexual itercourse 3x a week. It is also better to hae you husbandâ€™s semen checked first. ...

Hi, I have irregular periods due to pcod and I am facing difficulties to conceive, every two months once I am getting periods and the bleeding is continuing many days means until I get medicine support to control it's continuing,my pelvic scan was normal except MSF in both ovaries and thyroid is normal and I had imbalance b/w FSH and LH hormone so kindly suggest me what treatment I can take to regularize my periods and to conceive,I got married 4years back,I am not conceived yet

Hi Doc. I am 7 weeks pregnant. I usually had 28 days regular periods ever since. Never a delay or pain. As I'm aborting the baby using mifeprex and misoprostol I need to know whether it will affect my other organs and fertility in the long run. I'm 29.5 yrs old. This is my second abortion in last 6 months. I conceived first on November 2016. After the termination of pregnancy I was detected with a small kidney stone. Moreover in 6 months I went through major issues of deficiency of vitamin d, ferratin, folate. My weight reduced from 48 to 42 kg by Feb 2017. I was trying to get them recovered and I became pregnant by June 21. I did consult three doctors but I couldn't get a satisfactory answer. I went through lft, kft, thyroid, blood count and all were normal. My heamoglobin is 12.7. it was 13.7 after my first abortion. It deceased post abortion once kidney stone was detected. On top of this I've severe mood disorder and insomania since childhood. So I've been advised to take tryptomer since I was 22 yrs. I need to take it every two three months to restore my sleep balance. I'm a regular workout person and yoga practitioner as well as into weight training. However after all these I went through my body has become weak and I'm not able to workout much. Appetite is lost or so much that I don't know what to eat or what not. Stomach infections became common. After every test and doctors consultation I still need some more answers and clarification/ clarity to my body conditions. Further what precautions I must take.
