I woke up this morning and one of my teeth that I had a root canal done on years ago felt 'exposed' in the back by where my tongue is. The gum has always been a little higher there after the accident but this is more than usual. I got a mirror and looked and it looks like there's a hole in my gum behind that tooth. The gums that are there are above the hole are swollen. It doesn't really hurt unless I push on the swollen gingiva with my tongue. What should I do?

I've been recommended to have a wisdom tooth pulled because it has long roots and is near a nerve (and artery?). I'm living in South Korea so it's hard to understand exactly whats up. If this is the case, is this an emergency or could I wait 6 months until I'm back in the USA to clear it up.

Dear doctors, I am a research scholar and working on signal transduction studies and regularly use several irritants and ion channel blockers. I am suffering from excess keratosis on palms and soles and some times deep painful fissures from almost two years. It was started as a small thickening patch an left arm and recovered after treatment with moisturizing creams. After that I went to Japan as part of my research programme and one nurse given me creams with anti-fungal compounds and urea but the problem was enhanced and started the deep fisures on my soles. I came back to India and used homeopathy medicine for one weak and after that i visited a doctor. He suggested me to apply lemon juice trice daily and use vitamin C along with high doses of antifungal tablets and creams. I used this medicine for 6 months which further worsen my situation and my skin became very thick and appeared like toe nails and spread-ed to all areas of palms and soles. Passed out last Sunday and hit back of head had 10 staples and 2 ct scans and was kept in the hospital overnight for observation and was discharged the next day after 2nd ct scan. Stayed in bed till yesterday (friday0 had staples removed and felt fine .Late last nite developed headache at base of skull and nauseau which I still have. Is this normal 5 days later and should I go to emergency? There is no bleeding, BP is normal.Just feel really yucky. What should I do Primary care DR. is leaving it up to me.
