dear johnny take antibiotics and anti inflammatory drugs ,do some salt water gargling,avoid red meat, take fibre rich diet, avoid foods which take longer time to digest which causes fermentation grwth of bacteria and infection, take probiotics after taking antibiotics, if you are obese reduce your weight to have good results.

A few years back after having visited a hill station in India.. i got this sort of coating on my upper lip that couldn't be scraped off easily, a lot of my friends did too.. but even now my problem persists, this was followed by dryness around my lip and white patches that were spreading and cuts started forming. on consulting several dermatologists, they prescribed Fluticasone Propionate ointments of varying concentration saying that its caused by the fact that I was born by extremely dry skin and the saliva dries the area more, but I've been using petroleum jelly on my lips since I was small as I always used to get chapped lips.. I similar sort of dry patch developed on my finger which went on to spread over the years to my entire finger, for which i use the the same medication.. the itching on the finger and the dryness goes away after a couple of days of use but then it comes back when not used and the texture of my finger has turned out to be slightly glossy looking compared to the rest of my fingers..

Hi, As you said that you don't have leucoderma,and it is just simply dried lips then primary cause for dried lips is allergy. I woke up this morning and one of my teeth that I had a root canal done on years ago felt 'exposed' in the back by where my tongue is. The gum has always been a little higher there after the accident but this is more than usual. I got a mirror and looked and it looks like there's a hole in my gum behind that tooth. The gums that are there are above the hole are swollen. It doesn't really hurt unless I push on the swollen gingiva with my tongue. What should I do?

My 2 1/2 year old son had the flu and took tamiflu. A week after his symptoms got better he gotta a fever again for 3 days. He developed a large blister on his lower right lp and sores in his mouth. His teeth are sore and he cant drink eat or swallow much. His gums are red and swollen and bleed if we try to brush his teeth or he eat anything hard or crunchy. The doctor gave us amoxicillin but didnt diagnose anything and his mouth is still red and swollen, 6th day. The blister on his lip did not turn in to a coldsore. Its like an ulcer now that it has popped.

Until 2007 when I first began taking medication to treat headaches caused from a brain tumor, did I have any major tooth problems. But in 2009 when I started having seizures and had to begin anti-convulsant medication, did I have problems with my teeth.
