what calamine lotion help to reduce pimples caused by dandruff

PAST HISTORY : from past 1yr im facing this problem.. i use nizoral shampoo for dandruff control and calamine lotion for pimples which i caused by dandruff

Hi,

Treatment of acne contains lotions with active products like benzoyl peroxide, sulfur, resorcinol, salicylic acid or sulfur as their active ingredient.

Calamine lotion is of no use in pimples caused by dandruff.(however they can be used for short term relief but should not be used in long run)

The available treatment options are
1) Use anti dandruff shampoo (like nizral)
2) Stay away from styling products over your face
3) Clean your face with face wash at least 2-3 times daily
4) High oily food makes pimples worse avoid high fatty diet
Even above treatment options can cause a little bit of skin irritation,but if it causes a lot of skin irritation or if above of the treatment options don't work then you may consult a dermatologist for more vigorous treatment options which can not be prescribed without examination .

A few years back after having visited a hill station in India.. i got this sort of coating on my upper lip that couldn't be scraped off easily, a lot of my friends did too.. but even now my problem persists, this was followed by dryness around my lip and white patches that were spreading and cuts started forming. on consulting several dermatologists, they prescribed Fluticasone Propionate ointments of varying concentration saying that its caused by the fact that I was born by extremely dry skin and the saliva dries the area more, but I've been using petroleum jelly on my lips since I was small as I always used to get chapped lips.. I similar sort of dry patch developed on my finger which went on to spread over the years to my entire finger, for which i use the the same medication.. the itching on the finger and the dryness goes away after a couple of days of use but then it comes back when not used and the texture of my finger has turned out to be slightly glossy looking compared to the rest of my fingers..

Hi, As you said that you don't have leucoderma,and it is just simply dried lips then primary cause for dried lips is allergy. I have an itchy scalp, dandruff and experience pain in my hair roots. After meeting a skin doctor I have been using an overnight lotion twice a week, shampoo and multivitamin tablets prescribed by her since last ten days. Right now I have developed some swellings in the back of my head on the right side behind my ear on the hairline. It is extremely itchy around that area since last three days. This seems to be a recurring symptom and it appeared during summer season in the last two years also. Hi, A variety of reasons for this are dandruff, dermatitis, dry scalp, lice infestation. Rest are skin infestations like dematitis,psoriasis,rinworm of scalp and folliculitis of skin. Eat lot of fruits & green leafy vegetables & drink plenty of water. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment.
