I just recovered from kidney stones and had a stent taken out for it. A week later, I had unprotected sex and took the plan b pill, Next Choice. The next day my kidneys started to hurt again. I also have a seizure disorder and seized the night I took the pill. Can any of this be related?

the problem doesnt appear to be related to kidney stones. any to reconfirm please undergo an Ultrasound KUB examination to rule out any kidney stones as you had recurrence of kidney pain ...

Hi, From the details you have provided, it looks like you have a stent in left kidney and ultrasound shows mild fullness in PCS of left kidney. Mild fullness of PCS (pelvi-calyceal system), is common when there is a stent inside kidney. This occurs because urine can go up and down the kidney in the presence of a stent (Normally urine does not go backwards up into the kidney). I had an angioplasty and stent, two months ago to treat ACS lateral wall STEMI. The procedure was done two days after the symptoms and I am not sure how much portion of the heart muscle is dead already. I want to know if an EECP treatment helps make my heart more efficient and improves quality of my life.

Hi, till now indications for EECP treatment are physical activity limiting angina, on maximal angina relieving treatment and when there is no any other way for revascularization, ie improve heart blood supply. If your quality of life worsening cause is not angina but heart failure symptomes- shortness of breath because heart pumping function is decreased, the use of EECP hasen't yet much approved, data are controversal.
