Hello Doctor, i'm suffering from halitosis problem and i had consulted a lot of dentist but nothing helped much. On searching on internet about my tongue problem of whitening and cracks on my tongue i found out that i might be suffering from oral thrush problem so i ordered Health Aid Acidophilus and I've started consuming from yesterday i.e 6/8/2013. My question is will it help solve my oral thrush problem and how much time it will take to bring my problem under control?

you need to brush your teeth twice daily and maintain very good oral hygiene. plus definitely quit smoking. It is also advisable to take antifungal tablets for around a month. nystatin is a good drug for oral thrush. Though the oral thrush will drastically reduce in a week. you need to continue the medication for a month. Hello Doctor, My name is Niranjan and I'm 25 years old, I strongly believe that I'm suffering from oral infection. There are cracks on my tongue and after a few hours of brushing a white coating develops on my tongue which leads to bad breath problem. On searching on the internet i found out that I'm suffering from oral thrush or candida. 43yo, no children (unexplained infertility), skin tags & internal haemorrhoid (open bowels each morning, occassionally 2 times per day), anaemic, 8-10 fibroids, enlarged, retroverted uterus/stomach, large left ovarian septated cyst, bleed 10-14 days with flooding on days 1/2 (change every 1.5-2hrs) & loss of blood clots - 3cm-10cm diameter, 2011 suffered with BV 3 times, last 2 months suffering with thrush on & off (especially after sex/foreplay, or last few days of menstruation). This morning I woke at 3:30am with a gush of fluid - Mostly clear fluid, odourless with 7cm odd size clot of blood. When I stood up, gush of blood & once on the toilet, largest clot loss I have experienced to date. I have now stopped bleeding, with only a blood stained, watery discharge when I wipe. Can you please provide your thoughts before I go to see a new Gyn. I am SICK of being 'sick'!!! I would LOVE to find a Doctor that can tell me SOMETHING useful.

I have had this white strip across the side of my tongue for the past 3 weeks or so. Recently I had researched what it could possibly be and have narrowed it down to leukoplakia and oral thrush. It does not hurt when I eat or hurt at all. I started taking vyvance because of ADD about a month ago and doing so made me start to bite my tongue and gums. I had stopped doing so once I noticed the white strip but it has not healed. I also get little tiny sores on and off on my tongue that look almost like little white taste buds and get irritated very easily. But I just would like to know if it is just a raw spot tongue or leukoplakia because I have used a few tobacco products in past. nothing that lasted more than a month or two of use. I am not even 20 yet and the thought of cancer is terrifying me. Any thoughts on what it could be?Thank you.

Is the candiziole cream you are using Fluconazole or Clotrimazole? Fluconazole is contraindicated in pregnancy. On the contrary, Clotrimazole is safe for pregnant women.
