I am 29 Years old man who had a ligament tear in my right knee 14 months back. Though i can walk properly and can run slowly but cannot run hard because if i do so my right knee buckle and i fall down. I have not had a surgery till now though i had some physio therapist treatment but it dint heal well enough.Can i go for the surgery now? How long should i be in rest,i mean after the surgery as i am working?What would be the total cost of the treatment and surgery?

As you can already walk there is no requirement of surgery, just continue physiotherapy to strengthen muscles around knee joint. ...

Low Grade Glioma (Brain Tumor) diagnosed in my wife's MRI. Size of tumor is 24 x 36 cm and location is speech area (left side). In first MRI (2011) confirmed but size of tumor increased in second MRI (23/08/2012) and in latest MRI (23/12/2013) its unchanged. We have taken alopathic(Dr Y R Yadav) & Homeopathic from our local (Dr Lalit Babel, Dr Ramakant Chachondia,JABALPUR) doctor. As per doctors opinion is surgery is better option because tumor may be change any time in High Grade Glioma. Please advice

My husband's blood pressure was 162/90 yesterday. When he sat down and drank water, his blood pressure began to go down. Being that he is a firefighter what should I be concerned about? Also heart disease DOES run on his dad's side of family, his grandfather died at a very young age of a heart attack; I believe in his 20's or 30's...his father has a defibrillator and had 3 heart attacks. whatever is in the left side of his face out He also has had very odd symptoms in his face and head, he tells me if he could only pull out whatever blanket of stuff is in his head, he would feel so much better. I would reccomend your husband to visit first of all cardiologist and then neurologist. His condition can be very serious, depending on his symptoms and heridity, so immediate visit to doctor is necessary. Some investigations should be done in a hospital. my son 4.9 yrs old. He,s having constipation problem very big time. He doesn't take proper diet and neither milk properly. When he was born he lacked Vitamin D which was treated by taking drops. But a child with delayed speech and behavioural problems must be seen by a developmental paediatrician at a child development clinic. hi we have a child about 10yrs that has speech impairment pronouncing letters "R", "S", "Z" "T" basically those letters that require the nostrils and tongue to touch at the roof of the mouth to let out word...he has had examination by doctors here in Lebanon.And was put on speech trials by reading,but it seems not to assist much.Can he get better medical correction assistance such as surgery? we have the medical tests and doctors report for perusal so that u ascertain the proper assistance to be sort

My Mom has this following symptoms: 1. Hearing imparing 2. Her speech is becoming less understandable 3. She is acting more like a child day by day. 4. Limping gait ,slurring of speech ,loss of reasoning ,imbalance in emotions,repeated speech, difficulty in handling things properly. 22 yr old male , student. I have musular pain and weakness since 7 years started around lower back and and neck region for episodes of 5-10 minutes then it gradually increased to full body over 2-3 years. Have anxiety , stress, severe insomnia and headache from 4 years. Also have tremor and dropping of eye lids for around 2-3 years. Have problem waking up in morning sometimes as I feel no energy to do so. Speech is very slow and dull. Sympotms relieved by proper sleep and repetead movement of the painful area. Does not respond to supplements and improvement in all symptoms from benzodiazapenes etc. And heat therapy , ultrasound massage therapy but it stops responding after 2-3weeks or goes back to normal after stopping the treatment. Muscles affected are which are excessively used like eyelid and back shoulder and quadriceps and gastrocnemius shows fatigue. No family history or any systemic disorder. No history of alcoholism or drug abuse. I suspect muscular pathology, some type of myopathy maybe. Have consulted with various doctors multiple times but unable to identify cause only provisional treatment. Suggest what should I do.which investigations should I go for.
